Robert De Niro on Saturday pulled a controversial documentary from his Tribeca Film Festival after facing backlash about the movie’s controversial and widely-debunked anti-vaccination message.
The actor, who has a child with autism, said in a statement that he had “concerns” with Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe after consulting with experts in the science field about the movie’s focus on the debunked link between vaccines and autism. It’s a reversal from his original stance amid mounting criticism that the film would be important in the ongoing conversation about the surrounding causes of autism.

I don’t know anything about this film but I think blanket statements by the pro-vax crowd don’t help their position.
Vaccines are beneficial, yet the do come with risks. Pro-vax people tend to be dismissive of this.
Thimerosal use has largely been discontinued. It contains mercury, which is toxic. In the 1990’s government & health officials insisted there was no mercury in vaccines, which is true. The mercury is in the preservative in the vaccine. Very Clintonian parsing.
Giving multiple vaccines to infants is a relatively new practice, claimed to be safe. Time will tell.
Vaccines are beneficial, but rose colored glasses do no one any good. Acknowledge the benefits, acknowledge the risks, and realize that knowledge is imperfect.

Conversation about anything controversial is the last thing the left will tolerate, because so much of what they believe is indefensible. Censorship is an admission that they themselves recognize that fact.
My sister had polio when she was just 5 yrs old in the 50s. God rest her. She didn’t die from the infection, but she suffered from its crippling after effects until she passed away a couple years ago. You never hear about iron lungs anymore. A memory many want to forget. Polio was a fearful scourge in those days.
Hollywood personalities get themselves caught up in stupid causes rather than making films such as “The Big Short”. Wall St. needs to be taken down. We’re on the brink of a financial collapse that could lead to civil war caused by those robber baron oligarchs who owe allegiance to no country, only to their grandiose schemes to create a fascist police state one world government. Probably wise, but even this level of caution gets people labeled as "anti-vaxxer." I take vaccinations but intentionally keep them to a minimum. I've seen what these multi-vaccine shots have done to my dogs, to the point that I now titer to prove that they still have sufficient immunity. They were sickened, particularly the elderly dogs. One developed a large tumor right at the injection site on his hip. Vaccines can be a life-saver, but there is a price to pay for some. Treating those with sincere reservations as nutters doesn't help.

Countless generations till today of intra-familial (first cousins) arranged marriage is the probable cause for what you saw. Within the medical profession in that region it’s a quietly acknowledged problem. Pediatric rehabilitation and aids for daily living product imports into the Middle East are booming.
The risk from even many times that many vaccines at once is infinitesimal. The risk from the diseases they prevent are quite real. Don’t be fooled by the nonsense being purveyed by anti-vax demagogues. They all have blood on their hands, as far as I’m concerned.

Sometimes we hear that something is scientifically settled, when it isn’t.
My husband was going to get a colon resection due to recurring diverticulitis. Did some research and found some medical research stating that fiber in not necessarily good for all people.
Changed his diet, he healed up so he did not get surgery.
How often are people told fiber can be bad for you? Almost never.
People are all different, you need to do your own research and ask questions if you wish to improve your chances of getting quality medical care.
The flu is not polio. A cold is not the Plague.
Knowing drugs have harmful side effects, why would a parent expose a child to risk?
