Goldwater advocated doing whatever it would take to win the Vietnam War as quickly as possible without wasting thousands of American lives. As did Curtis LeMay and others among the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Lyndon Johnson used fear to scare voters away from Goldwater, lying about how his own weak strategy was working. The one that would go on to cost 50,000 American lives and lose the war.

I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised to see you resurrecting one of the premier propaganda pieces of the 1960s Left.

You are on someone’s radar. See post 18. The endless truth twisting is nauseating. The headline is more than deceptive. What he actually said make good strategic sense.
