I'm thinking Cruz was always on a mission for the GOPe to fetch the grass-root votes and hand them off to Jeb! at the convention.
Trump came along and now the GOPe will substitute Jeb! for someone else, or even accept Cruz.
You know, McCain used to come home to Arizona for years and fool us all into thinking he was fighting the GOPe on our behalf. Cruz could be the new McCain.
