My daughter, grandsons and son-in-law are perfectly sane, I assure you. They are currently posted in Japan, one of a relative handful of countries in the first world who seem to be able to cast political correctness aside and keep the bad Muzzies out.
Military commitments are the exception. Just don’t leave the base. Long ago in Subic Bay comes to mind, I never left the base except when we were “in the country”.
