The decline of Christendom gives rise to Islam. Without faith there is no motivation to defend god, country and hearth.
These articles lately miss the point, this struggle is not about politics or economics or leadership. Leadership is effective only when the leader believes in something and stirs people to action and unity with a common belief.
Europe has no faith in itself (post-modern) or in God (post-Christian). Diversity, prosperity and free love seem to not be enough reason for people to defend their civilization.
The alternative to Christendom is not modernism.
The alternative to Christendom is Islam.
