Mitt Romney did not back down from his feud with Donald Trump at a GOP dinner Tuesday night.
The former Republican presidential nominee joked about the billionaire’s foreign-born wives.
“Donald Trump has had several foreign wives. It turns out that there really are jobs Americans won’t do,” Romney reportedly quipped at the annual dinner hosted by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Trump’s first wife, Ivana, was born in Czechoslovakia. Melania, his third wife, is from Slovenia.
Romney also touched on Trump’s questioning of his faith.
“He could have just asked my wives,” Romney said.
Trump bashed Romney at a rally in Utah last week, asking his supporters if Romney was really Mormon.
“Are you sure he’s a Mormon? Are we sure?” Trump said.
The billionaire has since said it was joke.

I don’t think Romney’s joke about Trump’s wives is funny at all. It’s sexist and demeaning. Romney should be banned from being a spokesperson for the Republican Party.
He can be their spokesperson. There is no republican party left at this point. We have to figure out what comes next and how to beat Hillary this fall.
