At some point after 8 p.m. on April 26, the cable TV networks will display a check mark next to the picture and name of the Republican presidential candidate who got the most votes in Pennsylvania - Ted Cruz, John Kasich, or Donald Trump. This time, plenty of people will be paying attention. Usually, the Pennsylvania primary comes long after the suspense has left the presidential race. But the primary is poised to have an impact this year, because the math makes it virtually impossible for Trump, the GOP front-runner, to win enough delegates to wrap up the nomination beforehand.

Western Pennsylvania mirrors Eastern Ohio Appalachia Way.
Democratic stronghold, not happy with Obama, companies closing - huge impact with the decline of the coal industry.
This is Trump country. Push out Hillary and her sound bite regarding coal jobs going away.
Cruz has no chance here. Philadelphia is going Hillary for sure, student populations Bernie, blue dog Democrats and labor for Trump.
Heavy Amish aren’t voting.
Good, good.
A vote for Kasich is a vote for Trump.
Cruz is going to be beyond annoyed by this, which makes me laugh.
On another note, no decent Pennsylvanian would vote for the Governor of Ohio.
I am in PA and Trump is going to absolutely CLEAN HOUSE here.
People here NEVER bought into the traditional Conservative economic platform. Since Trump has walked away from that he is in some ways the candidate they have been waiting for.
I also expect Pat Toomey to be dispatched over his attempted gun grab, and some detestable Dem to take his place.
I live about 3 miles from McKees Rocks... He may have been born there, but he sure doesn’t act like anyone I’ve ever met from the Rocks.
We also have Republicans which would make some of their southern counterparts look like moderate squishes. Our biggest problem is our @$$hat Chairman Rob Gleason whom we can't seem to get rid of because he maintains iron control over the finances and deals out the most election dollars to those who genuflect in his direction.

Is the Chairman elected or appointed (if so, by whom)?
“Rob Gleason has served as Chairman of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania for nine years, one of the longest serving in the history of Pennsylvania.”

PA GOP Chairman Rob Gleason Named Chairman Of The Committee On The Call [Dec 3, 2015]
“I want to thank Chairman Priebus for selecting me for such an important role in our Party, Gleason said. Every four years, the Republican National Convention serves as the kickoff for the general election season. Im honored to have been picked to lead the Committee on the Call this year.”

Hmmm...the Family:
Chris Gleason Jr.
Commonwealth Club Chairman
“Having Chris Jr. serving in this capacity is great news for the PA GOP! said **Chris Gleason, Republican Party of Pennsylvania Finance Chairman**.”

But he is sort of like a combination of Karl Rove and a big money donor rolled into one, so they eventually come around to Gleason's way of thinking if they want to keep their job.
There are a handful of exceptions like Darryl Metcalf from Cranberry who comes from a district so conservative that he doesn't need Gleason's help.
