Certainly Trump has been attacking Cruz for the past few months...so, the Donald must give a rat’s ass!
But, if you stop to notice, the Trump attacks are usually personal...”Lyin Ted” this or “Lyin Ted” that...he rarely attacks on substance!
Trump either does not dare talk on substance because he’s sorely lacking in any policy depth or he’s just dumbing it down for his low-info followers, or both!
Trump could have nuked Cruz on substance ages ago. Cruz is extremely vulnerable on TPA, the Corker bill, numerous foot-in-mouth exercises. Why Trump hasn’t done it is beyond me. He must have some reason for pulling his punches with Cruz.
That’s all beside the point though. I was speaking of the general election electorate, which is a different animal than the GOP primary electorate.
Wake me when Ted Cruz is getting the kind of incoming that Trump has had coming his way for MONTHS. Cruz would fold like the cheap suit that he is within about 12 hours.
I believe even the GOPE discount Cruz. They will not even bother to force TRUMP to put Ted’s serpentine tail on his fine ticket.
No one wants unity, if it’s around Ted Cruz. Not General Election voters, not the GOPE, hopefully not TRUMP, who could never, never trust him.
Ted would be using TRUMP to run again, just like he used the US Senate. He always gets out over his skies.
