Precisely. I too was waiting for this type of speech. This was a Reaganesque type of speech. His words did not waver. His meaning was a sharp knife. There was passion that was real and a connection with the multitude that has not been seen ever.

I watched the speech carefully. I don’t think he did use a teleprompter, I think he had it memorized more or less. The teleprompter was up there with all of the speeches.
If he didn’t use a teleprompter, that just makes his speech that much more impressive.

Yes! And don’t forget he’s the one sticking up for the middle class by hammering the bad trade deals that have decimated our manufacturing base. We don’t make anything anymore in this country, we have plenty of hourly jobs but no careers. Gone are the good paying jobs that allowed parents to pay their mortgage and car, take 2 vacations a year and raise a family. We are a retail economy. We can sell nice shiny objects but the profits go overseas and the skilled high paying jobs have been outsourced to emerging markets with squalid working conditions and salaries that pay pennies on the dollar.
I don’t know for sure but watching him I don’t think so. It also looked like the teleprompters on the stage would have been too low for him to use them, like they were set up for a shorter person.
Hmm, I am thinking more Churchillian. But both Churchill and Reagan were superb leaders.

Trump is so amazing. His speech had to make a strong positive impression on many tonight. Listening to the fellow following Trump has to be a BIG let down!!!

I was/am very very proud of him tonight!
If he was using them, it was for reference. He wasn’t reading from them directly, so it appeared to me. It looked like he was speaking from the hip, but could tell it was prepared. He had plenty of time to prepare for it.
I too was thinking Churchillian. If Trump continues to speak like this, he will have his place in history too.

I didn’t see Cruz’s full speech but I saw one time he smeared Trump at AIPAC. How principled and conservative. Seems Cruz just can’t resist dumping his slime bucket.
