This is what socialism, communism, abuse of Christianity and a loss of morality gets you. The slide into poverty in America is due to corrupt politics, including the media, which robs the national treasury to make politicians the elite and gives them careers in that realm through the corruption of voting rules. If I could rule, my rule would be this. Those who do not pay taxes get no vote and I mean direct taxes from a paycheck. Think about the insanity of not checking IDs at the polling places. How much more corrupt than that do you want your elections to be? Also, the homelessness in America is not just due to poverty, because where else is there a more lucrative welfare system? It has reached today’s levels due to addictions..Alcohol and drugs.
It's not that they "don't care".
It's that they actively think a feudal society, made up only of the very rich and the very poor, is a good thing
