In 2015, California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill giving full voting rights to illegal aliens. That is simply untrue. California passed no such law. If you click on the link in the original article, it takes you to a report on a California law allowing illegals to get driver's licenses, not to vote.

I'm sure some illegals vote in California; I'm sure some illegals vote in every state. But it is certainly not authorized by California law.

The devil is in the details...

"Any person who renewed or secured a driver’s license through the DMV may now register to vote, or choose to opt out of doing so. Because illegal immigrants are now eligible for obtaining driver’s licenses, they could be allowed to vote in elections if the Secretary of State’s office fails to verify their eligibility properly.

Brown and the California Democratic party know exactly what they are doing; as a Public Policy Institute survey showed, among unregistered adults, 49% lean toward the Democratic Party and 22% toward the Republican Party. Any bill permitting illegal immigrants to vote would cement the Democratic Party’s hold on California."

States keep excellent records. Freedom of information act request for all driver’s licenses issued to illegal aliens, compare the resulting database to that of the state’s registered voters.

While I’m sure there will be SOME crossover, illegals don’t make it a general practice to put a big target on their back. Besides, when you register to vote, you also register into the jury pool, and who wants to deal with THAT hassle?

There’s no army of illegals out there who are going to vote for Democrats. That is a delusional fantasy. It is a much bigger problem the number of liberal kids who are enrolled at California’s universities who double vote in both their home state and California.
