Look at the map of the most Republican states in the union. They're proving to be mostly Cruz country in this election. Cruz is the candidate Republicans want who represents conservative values. Trump is the choice of liberal Republicans.

Right. And hardcore conservatives (of which I am one), comprise a good 20% of the electorate. Base has to be broader.

Dumbo=332 Romney=206

Look at the map of the most Republican states in the union. They're proving to be mostly Cruz country in this election. Cruz is the candidate Republicans want who represents conservative values. Trump is the choice of liberal Republicans.

How it is possible that you show evidence *against* your candidate for President of the United States without realizing it? Remind me again what Ted Cruz is running for. RNC chairman maybe? President of the United Red States?

You say that Trump appeals to liberals? I would argue that assertion because very VERY few liberals I'm aware of are against amnesty or want anything to do with a border wall or vets or a strong military or tax reform ( though perhaps a few might be interested in fair trade ). But you have to least try to appeal to some non-(R) voters, at least the independent minded middle to even begin to have a shot in this election.

You show your map and point to Cruz thriving in areas of purist Republican strength ( and only a subset of them at that ), but right off the bat you swing and miss. Firstly, what does "Republican" really even mean when most of them wearing the (R) badge are simply GOPe (R)epublicrats who are being exposed right and left thanks to your nemesis Trump? Secondly, conditioning from endless circle jerks of Cruzbots has allowed many to accept caucuses as some sort of election, when they are in fact far from it. How can one point to caucus results with a straight face!

Amazingly, your guy Ted Cruz has actually stated that 'Trump wins the open ones and I win the closed ones' ( and you implied the same idea above ). So it begs some big questions, just what the hell is really going on here? Is Cruz intending to lose the general? Do you guys actually believe there is a path to victory by only winning some ( not even all, but just some ) Republicans to vote for Ted? What kind of common core math is this. I know where it comes from though. It comes from Rush ( and Levin, Hannity ... ) and that magical belief in a silent majority in our 'conservative country'. Rush has been absolutely killing us with that myth.

I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again. So many Cruzers are long overdue for an epiphany. Folks like me already have come to terms with it. In my case it was all about getting Alan Keyes elected ( and he is a far truer Constitutionalist and Christian warrior than Ted could ever hope to be ). I was madder in the past than you are now at all the stupid idjits who refused to vote for him.

Epiphanies. They're painful but unavoidable once the real world crashes into the dream world. But at least you wind up gaining something: "Situational Awareness" which beats the heck out of wearing blinders and swimming in "Situational Ignorance". We dwell in a country where we are now a minority of a minority. At the general election level the situation is far more dire than you presently find yourself this very moment with Cruz at the primary level. We are outnumbered approximately 5 to 1 and the enemy control nearly every branch of everything, including the media, which is required to even get a toe-hold into the base of the mountain in front of us.

Now once that reality penetrates, should we give up? Cry about it? No. We find a path to victory. Quite fortuitously a path has opened up. The path is being plowed by a bulldozer with 'Trump' stenciled on the side. No-one is betraying Conservatism ( -- Mark Levin ). We're pretty much saving it to live another day in the event the country indeed survives. If Cruz were nominated and lost the general just like Romney with "blue" and purple states falling like dominoes, Conservatism would be stone cold deader than a doornail, the (R)epublicrats would scapegoat us just like Goldwater, and Hillary would finish us off. ( Oh, and Rush and Levin would show up as usual for work Monday, selling books and speaking of that magical silent majority ).

You can't possibly still be clinging to that putz Shapiro? He is a pretty direct parallel to Al Sharpton with Tawana Brawley, accessory to a hoax from a gold-digger, perhaps one degree different. Shake him loose FRiend. For him to redeem himself he will need to offer mea culpas that he is probably not capable of.

IMPORTANT NOTE: those last three links are from a Ted Cruz supporter who is very close to Fields and Shapiro and the other players. Blindly following the ant-Trump anti-Lewandowski meme without reading those articles is very VERY unwise. Also see this FR thread, especially toward the end as a fellow FReeper is displaying good visual evidence.
