Chris Christie
In an announcement that surprised almost everyone, Christie endorsed Trump in February.
As Trump’s running mate, Christie could be an effective attack dog against Hillary Clinton.
A Trump-Christie ticket would also reinforce the narrative that both men are tough Washington outsiders who “tell it like it is.”
Rick Scott
When he ran for Governor of Florida in 2010, Scott self-funded his campaign and spent upwards of $75 million of his own money.
Scott, who recently called for his fellow Republicans to “coalesce behind” Trump, could help the New York billionaire in Florida -- a key swing state.
Scott’s personal wealth, career in finance and governing experience could also be a plus for the ticket.
Ben Carson
Carson could energize Christian and evangelical voters to turn out for Trump.
Carson first came to national attention in 1987 when he successfully separated conjoined twins. In 2013, Carson’s conservative critique of health care in the United States, standing near President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast, brought him back into the national spotlight. His own presidential campaign also boosted his profile.
Jeff Sessions
Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III has been active in national politics since before Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz graduated from high school.
Prior to his election as a senator 1996, Sessions served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama and later was appointed by President Reagan to be the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama in 1981.
Sessions’ experience in the U.S. coupled with his expert knowledge of foreign policy could ease voter concerns about Trump being too inexperienced on matters of national security and how to work with Congress.

I would have said Rick Scott is on the short list except he didn’t even endorse Trump until after the FL primary was over. Not a ringing endorsement.
Christie is likely slotted for Attorney General.
Don’t be surprised if Trump still takes Kasich as VP to appease the party when they all kiss and make up in a couple of months.

I agree. During the debates, when others are talking, I can sense Trump performing resume evaluations of the other candidates.
I'm thinking that Trump is going to pick somebody who could more or less fill Trump's shoes if he should ever be called on to assume the Presidency.
I'm thinking somebody from the world of business who loves the country too. The Vice President job can be much bigger and more important than it has been in the past. Trump could raise the profile of that job big time.
I'm thinking of somebody like Ed Whitacre, the former CEO of AT&T.
Whitacre fought against government regulations for decades and his experience as a creator of jobs could be invaluable.
He's probably not the guy, but someone of his caliber, maybe an ex-CEO of Boeing, would be the choice I would select if I were Trump.

How would Kasich help as a DC insider? Kasich is a governor. Kasich love vest his illegals and therefore belongs in jail. Kasich is an all around a-hole.
That is my thought not even Ted. I feel he is exposing them little by little. What give it away was when he asked about the Island Meeting. He said “I know most of them”. He knows =)
Kasich was in Congress for 18 years before becoming governor.
No, that was a reverse set up. W was the clown. The Democrats couldn't fathom Cheney inheriting the presidency though.
