Susana Martinez has the recent drunk party issue and it’s obvious pandering. Mia Love went all establishment earlier this year. Unfortunately probably needs to be someone with DC experience (doesn’t need to actually have been in DC) to help Trump navigate the landmines. Needs to pick the most outsider of insiders.

“Good post. I choose Rick Scott because he has experience across business and government. He’s the man.”

Putting Scott on the ticket takes away the ability to hammer Hillary on corruption.

Scott was CEO of a medical company (Columbia/HCA) that plead guilty to many felonies. Even though he was not charged he still was the CEO at the time the felonies occurred.

With Trump’s personality you need someone squeaky clean to pair up with him.

Nikki Haley is ineligible.

Newt Gingrich right now would be the best pick.

He knows his way around DC, and in 2012, exhibited no fear of the media.

Like Trump exhibits no fear in 2016 of the media.

They would make a good pair.

Newt would be of no help to Trump as VP. Too many negatives, imo.

I’ve lost most of my respect for Christie, but he would add some weight to the ticket.

I see what you did there.

Trump/David Clarke. Sheriff of Milwaukee.

Newt could do very well in debates, and he is an articulate spokesman for Trump now.

Newt can withstand the attacks from the media and the lies from the Dems. HE has faced it all before.

Let’s face it, the media will try to destroy any Republican and their running mate in this election.

Might as well have two experienced fighters.

I don’t want to see a repeat of the 2012 Ryan/Biden debate, where an obviously sauced Biden actually browbeat Ryan into silence.

But as we have seen over the last two weeks, the enemy behind us is almost as bad as the enemy in front of us.

I was sure Walker would outlast them all. I hope he still has a future and doesn’t go the way of Pawlenty

Kasich has got to be the front runner for Trump veep. Has Trump ever criticised Kasich?

They are both big government liberal Republicans and Trump needs an insider who knows how to pull the levers of power.

I think Cruz was Trump’s original choice for this role but Trump realized early on that Cruz was not a Yes-Man who would not be willing to participate in the “deals” that Trump wants to make with the establishment on both sides of the isle. That’s why Trump criticized Cruz’s refusal to get along with Turtle McConnell.

Kasich is a proven squishy centrist establishment type who Trump needs to carry out his program, and he can help deliver Ohio and other Midwest states to boot.

Clarke is a Democrat. He appeared on the Megyn Channel in a ridiculous cowboy hat — becoming a caricature.

Unfortunately, Tim Scott just happens to been one of the guest who attended the round table in an Island with other elites to stop Trump.

I can agree on Rick Scott. The South will be firmly Trump, so it's hard to see Sessions. Florida will be in play, so Scott would be a decent running mate.

It seems Trump is a little weak west of the Mississippi. I'd like to see him pick up someone who could strengthen him there.

Agree it might be Kasich for the reasons you clearly state. If a contested convention, Trump will cut a deal in advance to make Hothead John his VP and get (most of) his delegates.

Rick Scott? Just no. A Floridan would be good if it were Allen West.
Tom Cotton would be good, he was spot on regarding the Corker bill.

How about General Carter Ham, who was relieved for ignoring the stand down order, and beginning an operation that would have rescued our people in Benghazi? If the Democrats don’t dump the witch, that puts the botched Arab Spring wars center stage during the campaign.

A great idea ... I’ve always maintained that Duncan Hunter Sr. would have been the greatest President since Reagan himself if the American people had the common sense to have realized that, the dumb asses!
