The more I read about him and hear him speak, however, I have sadly come to the conclusion that it was political grandstanding to support his run for President. There was never any chance that it would accomplish anything other than give him "cred", but his actions on TPP, his connection with Goldman Sachs and his super pac donors belie that cred.

Cruz is an insider, and his ruse was to be the ringleader for the "conservatives".
His hubris and ambition caused the veil to lift prematurely.
Now we know what he is.
