Sen. Ted Cruz has vowed to support GOP front-runner Donald Trump if he secures the Republican nomination -- but he has one condition.
"I can give you one example where I would no longer support Donald Trump. If for example, he were to go out on Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, I would not be willing to support Donald Trump," Cruz said today at a press conference in Rockford, Illinois.
Cruz’s reference is to when, back in January, Trump joked at a campaign rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, that his supporters would stand behind him even if he shot someone.

Cruz attempt at humor probably isn’t going to go well.

I’m sorry to see Cruz say this. I was never a big fan anyway, but I’ll no longer support him. There’s no earthly way I’d support anyone who says he will vote for Trump.
Yes, this was a moment to look statesman-like.

And if Trump had said something like that about Cruz, what would you think then?
As politics goes, Cruz's comment was harmless -- something a candidate he said it about wouldn't hold against him.
God, he is such a snarky, slimy, creep.
It’s funnier than Trump’s jokes about putting his sister on the Supreme Court or the one about the size of his hands.
When the time comes, Trump should tell him to keep his endorsement.

If it’s to be treated as a joke when trump says it, why isn’t it a joke when Cruz says it?

Trump never said he he would put his sister on the SC.
That's because they're all Democrats.
No he won’t. If Trump gets the magic number of delegates before the convention, the cigar-filled smokey room will fund a 3rd party spoiler in an attempt to hand the election to Hillary, and a whole mess of GOPe stooges, including Cruz, will be right on board with the spoiler candidate.
You know how I know this? Because Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich were all already starting to renege on their promise because a bunch of lefists/BLM people showed up to protest Trump. They’re itching for an excuse, and when the time comes to jump ship (i.e. after they’ve already lost), they will.
Probably a good point. ;-)
Cruz isn’t joking. He rarely, if ever, makes a joke.
