Thanks VK. It's fun and it makes me feel part of the Trump campaign. This one took about 3 hours to assemble and write. I often get the idea for the image first, then write a story around it. That was the case with my Trumpazine post. Google Images is your friend. I found the splendid picture of Trump waving to the crowd in Mobile, Alabama and said, "why not have a bunch of cats surrounding Trump." So I searched "kittens looking up" in Google Images and found tons of pics to choose from. From there I used the free GIMP imaging tool to "cut out" the kitten images and then I used Excel to position the kitten pics on top of the Trump photo. The beauty of Free Republic's format is it's HTML friendly, making the presentation very versatile. The code I used for this one was a basic table. Here it is: <table bgcolor="lightyellow"> <!-- Open a TABLE with a yellow background --> So you can cut and paste the above code, stick in your own images, and you're good to go. The best HTML learning site I know is w3Schools.com where you can practice writing the code on-line. You can also download the Excel sheet (1.4 MB) I captured the three images from. |
Regret that such technology was not around when in school. It might have been learned and considered normal - like using a telephone. Lucky that it came on board while still alive but feel a loss that it is not understood. Embraced Personal computers, DOS, and several programs such as LOTUS 123, and Wordstar but when it came to the WWB, Windows XP, and everything to follow it was the ‘deep end’ for me. Now I happily play along with the known factor: directories, sub directories, files, URL When anything unknown pops up (which is often) call the computer guru (my BIL) and ask for help.
If you enjoy what you do it’s not work -it’s a hobby :-))
