Byron York: Do Trump's rivals benefit by blaming him for Chicago chaos?
Washington Examiner ^ | March 13, 2016 | By BYRON YORK

"It was too organized," said Cynthia Dugan, who came to Concord Coffee here in Lakeland to catch Rubio's quick stop Saturday afternoon, just four days before the Florida primary. "I think it was organized by MoveOn.org and Black Lives Matter; it wasn't just a spontaneous event."

I asked Dugan who was to blame. "The protesters," she answered. "And, unfortunately, some of the press."

"To me, it's just too well organized — MoveOn.org and George Soros are spending a tremendous amount of money to disrupt," said Richard Dempsey, of Lakeland. I asked Dempsey whether he blamed Trump for the chaos in Chicago. "No, I don't," Dempsey said. "I think it's an effort to discredit Trump. Everybody from every direction is trying to discredit him and defeat his campaign. I'm not a big supporter, but I will vote for him if he is the eventual nominee."

I would like to with hold my answer until Trump has secured the nomination. I’ll pitch in during the post-mortem.

I don’t even have to read this to rate (author) Byron York as a crypto-Trumpster. Byron is a good guy!

It makes it clear that they are on the side of the anarchists running wild in Ferguson and on college campuses, so it makes it very easy to discard them and settle on Trump.

Not a bad article by Byron York, but it averts its gaze from the obvious - did Cruz, Rubio and Kusich blaming Trump for what was clearly the work of hardcore leftwing agitators blow up in their faces?

Cruz, Rubio and Kasich must think so, they’ve been bashing Trump non-stop with it since Friday night.

I’ve read that Cruz lost about a quarter of his twitter followers since Friday. If that’s true, it might mean there will be a drop in his numbers on Tuesday. Kasich is on the defensive over his record on trade, since Trump has been hammering him with that in OH the last few days.

Here comes the backtrack. Blaming Trump for the violence at his rallies have backfired massively, so the new talking points are out: Have the candidate's supporters denounce the leftist goons, and spin it as if the GOP candidates themselves have also denounced it even though none of them did.

Sorry York, but the die has been cast. Los Pollos Hermanos and the Fruit Ninja have completely screwed the pooch.

Definitely not. Cruz is blowing it by teaming up with the Romney pushing GOPe and the dhimmiecrats against Trump.

She forgot to include the GOPe, too, which includes Mitt, Jeb, and Teddy.

Teddy seemed well prepared to take advantage of this for his own political gain, or at least, he thought it would help him.

For a schmuck who is all about 'tone matters', teddy is tone deaf.

Los Pollos Hermanos?

LOL!

Excellent!

Things worked out really badly for Gus Fring and his partner.

Yes, definitely. Cruz should push the Bush/Romney/GOPe talking points harder and make it even more clear that he blames Trump more than the BLM and Bernie Sanders mob.

Opposite. Cruz supporters if there are any left after his heneous response to the 1st amendment attacks on Trump, should be ashamed of themselves.

The guy lies, I just heard him on Hannity stating he only speaks about issues and has refused to get involved in the personal attacks. THAT IS A BIG FAT GIANT LIE!

I feel bad for Cruz Supporters. To realize your guy is nothing more than a dirtbag establishment type has to hurt. He was my #1 before Trump came along, but I just can’t ignore the Carson Iowa and voter shaming scams he did not personally take responsibility for and fired the loyal supporter responsible for carrying out his directives.

Ted’d dead to me.

That to be determined by the ‘front runners’

Ask what ‘They’ believe once the brouhaha is is over and done - first item, to find who might still be standing.

Byron of York, another who had respect from this direction and has, alas, fallen from his pedestal.

Notice how there have been virtually no polls on this whole thing yet?

I guess they couldn’t find the numbers blaming Trump for the stupidity of social justice warriors, so best to not do a survey.
