How to Handle Protesters at Trump Rallies
Zionists4Trump ^ | March 12, 2016 | Zionists4Trump

I have a solution for this problem of disorderly and violent protesters at future Trump events. As a conservative activist, I have attended a number of protest demonstrations against Bill, Hillary, etc. The police always have a protest section walled off some distance from where the target would be, in some cases, a block away. I do not know what would happen if we did not stay inside the protest zone because we always obeyed.

The solution is to have a fenced-in protest zone for demonstrators which can be expanded as needed outside the arena, some distance from the entrance. A Trump rally is a private event with tickets (even if they are free.) There should be printed rules of conduct on them indicating that anyone who shouts, curses, commits violence, creates any disruption, etc. will immediately be removed. If they resist, they will be arrested. That is how orderly protest is handled. They cannot be permitted access to the inside or even to be physically near attendees on the outside. Disruption outside the sanctioned area must result in arrest after a warning.

This process has actually been used successfully already. On November 5, 2015, Donald Trump hosted the live television show "Saturday Night Live." There were protesters for the event, but they were excluded the studio audience. As the photo shows, the protesters were cordoned off in a fenced-in protest zone. The live event went off without a hitch.

...

Many people misunderstand the meaning of how the First Amendment protects free speech. The right to free speech refers to stopping the government from preventing free speech. However, anyone renting a private venue can limit the behavior and expression of the people they invite as they see fit. ...

These people are anarchists. They are not going to obey “rules”.

No, just follow the regular procedures. A protest zone is always a good idea, but what they need is what virtually all campaigns have, which is security that restricts entrance, searches people to make sure they have no prohibited items (such as campaign literature from other campaigns, banners, etc.), and an efficient off-duty police security force to remove people who have slipped in and start to disrupt the proceedings.

This is standard at all campaigns; I worked for GWB in Florida, and I saw it in place there, and the Dems had the same thing. Either Trump’s campaign managers are idiots, or he believes permitting these attacks will get him more publicity and more supporters.

"The solution is to have a fenced-in protest zone ..."

That is only effective if the democrats are being protested. You forgot one key element. Conservative/Republican protesters are law abiding citizens.

The disruptors have been infiltrating the events. A little more discretion (read: profiling) needs to be done to winnow out the troublemakers.

I believe that's is how they handle protesters for sitting presidents.
They need to do what is necessary to protect the candidates or were likely to end up in a bloody revolution.
Disrupting is not protesting.
I cannot believe that guy that rush Trump is free today. It is an outrage.

Does it matter how protesters are handled?

We’ll be accused of bullying, harassment, violence and stealing their rights no matter how civil, polite or nice we are.

You’d be astonished what goes on in Iowa and NH. If you don’t meet them half a dozen times, they are not trying very hard.

‘Protest zones’ are not free speech, and especially in the case of the president, does not allow the people to petition government for their grievances.

The answer is actually arresting those who are infringing on the rights of others. That means escorting protesters to a waiting police bus outside the venue rather than simply outside, for one thing. Even if the processing isn't anything further than taking their picture and recording their identification, it certainly beats the walk outside that was seen repeatedly in Kansas City.

And it means prosecuting those who conspire to impinge the freedom of others (AnswerChicago and MoveOn.org who set out an organized shutdown of the event.)

But the point about setting out the limits and decorum is good and then adding that anyone who does not abide by these rules will be trespassing and told to leave and if they do not leave then they will be arrested. Trespassing is only a misdemeanor but we have to start somewhere.

The problem is that the protesters are infiltrating the events. They go online and get tickets like any Trump supporter.

It’s time to focus on MoveOn.org , it’s organizers , it’s main activist coordinators , it’s $ sponsors . Infiltrate the organization . These are people , they live in locations that can be found . Rather than let them act as unseen and anonymous Leftist puppet masters , it time to track them down . Show up on their streets , knock at their doors and let them know , personally : “ knock it off” . There is simply NO WAY that American patriots should sit on their hands and let these people operate with impunity . It they want to sew this targeted ‘dissent ‘ they should also live in fear . George Soros ...he has residences . Every single one should be publicized and become well know . There should develop an Anonymous type of organization that states if anything happens to Donald Trump - YOU lose Bernie Sanders “ and mean it . I am so tired of these radical Leftist punks pushing America around , and ordinary Americans just taking it and standing for it . They want to play rough ? Let them know what ‘rough’ looks like .
