Yes, proving this was an “assault” would be hard to establish.

What is very important about this new video is that it finalizes the whole sequence (Cspan + this new video)

Cspan:
1. Fields moves towards Trump, touches him (or grazed), while moving a device towards him.
2. Security and Lewandowski react simultaneously.
3. Lewandowski puts his left arm out towards Fields but does not grab her forearm. Her forearm shows a hand on it (possibly the security person) as her arm is moved downward away from touching Trump.
4. The grab is immediately released and Fields shows no effect (jerk or otherwise).
5. Even after this “security response” grab and immediate release, yet Fields continues to pursue Trump. She had to know that there was a desire by security & Lewandowski to let Trump through.
6. As Fields rebuffs this “security response” and continues.
7. Lewandowski does reach again towards Fields as she seemed to persist even though a security person intervened. This “reach again” towards Fields is what I’ve seen as the latest pictures Breitbart has posted inferred it as the “latest” in the “updates” to buttress their story.
New Video:
8. Lewandowski catches up with Fields (after 1-7 has occurred) and most likely is not happy Fields is continuing to pursue Trump.
9. A rotation of momentum occurs between Fields and Lewandowski in this new video (4 sec mark).
10. Fields’ left arm was up and did move quickly down at this rotation of momentum point.
11. IF Lewandowski happened to grab her left arm (where the purported bruises are shown), then Fields would have had to physically resist (i.e. stiffen her arm) to cause the momentum rotation change between them. Most people would simply let the arm rotate down. It would be very difficult and unlikely of a grab for Lewandowski to do this on the forearm while she also was fighting it via stiffening her arm.
12. The momentum change between them could have more easily been from a palming action of a hand on her shoulder.
13. If so, this seems quite contrary to an “assault”. Rather, it looks like a stubborn reporter did not want to cooperate with the prior guiding “hints” from security (you will note that the security person was immediately behind her and only walked around her after she halted).
