I actually think what Cruz says plays very well with the 65% of the Republicans that don't support Trump. It may make all the Trump followers angry, but the goal of an election is to get the most votes.
Cruz is being very smart with his money. He came in 2nd in Michigan and spent $1000 total on advertising.
With Rubio out and most of the Republican party going to get on board, I think Cruz has a great shot.
I know you either won't believe this, or ignore it, but I went to the Linn County GOP convention today. Start of picking the delegates that go to Cleveland. There were probably 125 people there. All activist, some conservative, some not. I asked a number of them what they thought about Cruz’ comments about Trump. They all thought Cruz was right. Heard a few say, about time. There were not a lot of Trump supporters there. fWiw
Not sure that's a real world scenario... yet. Nor does it change all the votes that are recorded beforehand.
“The thing you Trump supporters don’t understand it is not Ted Cruz job to come to Trumps defense.”
Can’t remember where I say it, but it is the perfect analogy for what you apparently aren’t comprehending.
When two men share a foxhole, it’s OK if they disagree on some things—even those on the same side have disagreements. But, it’s not OK for one of the men in the foxhole to take the side of the enemy that is trying to overrun the foxhole and destroy everyone in it.
Cruz didn’t just disagree, he took the side of the enemy.
It’s your own hero’s fault he got shellacked all over the South and has to beg for other candidate’s votes or a brokered convention. He wouldn’t need your mythical one on one scenario if he wasn’t such an underachiever.
Romney and Bush had to hold his hand to get Wyoming and Idaho. He’s not even trying to win most states on Tuesday. He doesn’t deserve a one on one he’s toast.
“Can you show me one poll that has Trump beating Cruz one on one.”
Can you explain to me why blue is faster than Tuesday?
I’m a Cruz supporter too. But Rubio will not bow out. He’s hoping for a Hail Mary catch at a brokered convention and screw the hop-e if they can’t deliver the nomination to him
If Cruz was the unbeatable juggernaut you think he is, Trump would now be splitting the table scraps with Rubio and Kasich, while Ted was running toward the goal line.
Face facts. He’s just doesn’t have what it takes to draw the people to him.
If someone , Cruz , a politician , has nothing sensible to say he should STFU .
In that case he made a very wrong , stupid and vicious statement trying to use the violence of thugs , activists ( and among them probably also islamists ) against his rival Trump .
Cruz is sounding exactly like the establishment and the voice of the MSM machine . He is a tool with no backbone , a caricature of “conservative” . He deserves to lose and he will lose
