The use of the word ‘free’ deceives many. A more accurate word would be managed for the benefit of the international few (financiers, corporatists, and their statist minions in politics).
The whole ‘free trade’ agenda has been sold the US citizens in a very duplicitous manner.
Americans have been sold a pack of lies. First, Nafta was to raise the standard of living for the average Mexican worker...lie. We need Mexicans to do the jobs Americans won't do...lie. Under Nafta, Americans that lose their jobs because of the transfer to Mexico will received job training to help transition to another career...Lie.
Americans want cheaper goods....Lie! Americans didn't realize cheaper goods would be all they could afford after the “HUGE SUCKING SOUND” of good paying manufacturing positions leaving this country.
If Americans knew then what they now know...do ya think they'd have supported NAFTA and GATT trade agreements?
Our politicians don't even pretend to protect American industry. I remember a day when our government at least made an effort. They now hand it over gleefully in return for millions of $$$ in campaign cash from multi-national corporations and foreign entities.
I support Ted Cruz, he is my senator and has fulfilled his promises to the citizens of Texas. It is Donald Trump that's lit a fire under Americans @$$e$ and if he secures the nomination...I will gladly support him in the general.
We either do it by the ballot box....or....
the only thing free trade threatens are union jobs..
union people..
and those with union mentality..
