While attending a Toby Keith concert at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort on Aug. 19, a man imposed on Mari Poindexter and her family’s personal space then spewed bigoted slurs at Poindexter,Poindexter told the Morning Sun in August.
Later that night Poindexter said that same man attacked her in the parking lot of the Cabin Bar, punching her in the eye and spitting on her.
Poindexter, who said she came out as a lesbian to friends and family three years ago, shared the story of her attack on social media.
Police confirmed an investigation was ongoing, and later that week as they reviewed security footage with her from inside the bar, Poindexter became nervous when she learned there was also footage from the parking lot and no longer wanted to watch the video, according to court records.
That night, a friend of Poindexter called Isabella County Central Dispatch, concerned that Poindexter, who was on the phone as well, was going to harm herself.
Central Dispatch recorded the phone call, during which Poindexter admitted to her friend that she had fabricated pieces of her story, including the attack at The Cabin, according to court records.
“(Poindexter said) she made the story up about being assaulted by a male subject at the bar and punched herself in the eye because she wanted to raise awareness about the social hardships of people in the LGBTQ+ community,” read a police statement in the court records.
Poindexter was charged with lying to a police officer and filing a false police report, but eventually the misdemeanor for lying to a police officer was dropped in exchange for a guilty plea on the false report charge, also a misdemeanor.

Filing a false police report and getting a guy arrested should be worth at least 6 months in jail. Lowlife scumbag.

Its just illogical that someone, particularly a man, would bother to attack a lesbian. 99% of these stories are hoaxes.
Lesbians are, simply put, a strange curiosity, or for some of the more obvious and vocal butch ones, mildly repellent and irritating.
Like someone with bad gas or snoring on an airplane - you accept it as part of the human condition, but try to move as far away from them as possible.

Remember, the theme of the “progressives” is that *everything* is justified by the end intent. That is the sum of their “morality”.
Have to lie to accomplish what you want? OK

Of course, the “good things” that they want always involve them doing very well.
That is where the worship of power ends up. It is what “progressives” have always been about.
But she is just certain that there are unreported hate crimes out there.
I would have to see the rest of her body but safe to say she is curvy, if she was to lose some of them, stop being a lezzie, and look more feminine, maybe it is hittable, maybe.

This is the biggest defect among hate crime hoaxers. They always seem too clueless to realize that security cameras are almost everywhere and that they will inevitably prove their fairy tales to be nothing but hoaxes. Same thing happened recently in Albany.
Actually, it's pretty much ALL of these cases that are hoaxes - i.e. homo-lies.
Crimes that are fabricated to invoke “hate crimes” statutes should be filed as hate crimes, with enhanced severity, themselves. They are trying to implicate an entire class of people.
