At every step of the way, Trump was the top topic in the news. By the time the cycle ended, probably Trump didn’t mind if some people came away from the spectacle thinking he leaned toward the racists. A lot more people came away thinking about Donald Trump.

Fact is Donald Trump is a brilliant strategist. There is a reason he is one of the most successful businessmen in the nation. He understands the value he brings to the news stations with higher viewership and is an excellent negotiator so he gets to choose which shows he is willing to bring his audience to...the news stations love it because those shows do well in ratings. It is a smart, symbiotic relationship. It is also a lesson for the nation, especially the people that these politicians do not need to sell their souls to the PAC’s, Unions, and lobbyists to get advertising time. This is the kind of intelligence and expertise we need running our nation.
