“If you don’t know that there is a difference, educate yourselves.”

Ah, yes, like the difference between ‘war’, ‘police action’ and ‘peacekeeping mission’.

Or ‘brilliant jurist’ and ‘sly shyster’.

As I said, educate yourself.

“Or ‘brilliant jurist’ and ‘sly shyster’.”

Out of curiosity I started reading up on the Republican rules weeks ago, way before this issue was brought up openly.

And Washi is exactly right. There is a difference between a brokered and contested convention. No, you are wrong, 144, it is NOT nuances of words and legalese.

EVERYONE running KNOWS that they MUST get HALF of the delegates to get the nomination. That was ALWAYS the rule.

Cruz has lots of supporters, including myself, who he owes to fight for the presidency. Just because he is not YOUR preferred candidate does not mean he owes you to drop out.

Trump could have already won the nomination, but he got bad advisors telling him to slime Cruz. Cruz also failed to take advantage of this by making fun of Trump rather than sticking to the issues. As a result we have infighting among conservatives over which of these two candidates to support.

Most around here were either Trump, Cruz, or both from the start. Many of us still are.

It is now down to Trump or Cruz. Trump has the advantage, not only because of his lead but because the remaining states are not as conservative or evangelical.

But regardless, Trump still MUST get 50% of the delegates to insure he gets the nomination. Those are the rules. And the rules have not changed.
