Is the Media Protecting Donald Trump?
Fox Business News ^ | 2016 March 04 | Julia Limitone

Posted on 03/07/2016 9:27:25 PM PST by CutePuppy

During an interview on the FOX Business Network's Mornings with Maria, Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay lashed out against the media for protecting Donald Trump.

"The media won't report what's really happening on the ground... They will not investigate Donald Trump. When have you seen a story written about Donald Trump's sleazy business practices? There's plenty of stories out there about that. The media is protecting Donald Trump either because they want him to be the nominee against Hillary Clinton or they're big buddies of his. Most of the media comes from New York and they are buddies," he said. ..... < snip >

..... DeLay argued that the lack of detail on waste-fraud and abuse, spending and foreign policy was "very embarrassing for Donald Trump in the last Fox News debate and hasn't resonated with his core followers.

"Thirty-five percent are going with Trump... There's 64 percent that aren't going with Trump and the media refuses to speak up and talk to the 65 percent that are not voting for Trump," he said. ..... < snip >

..... So are Republicans handing over the election to Clinton? DeLay says, it's a ploy by Democrats to cover up their flawed candidate.

"Clinton is a flawed candidate, the Democrats are voting in our primaries because they want a flawed candidate to run against — and there is no bigger flawed candidate than Donald Trump. His character, his business practices, he's not a conservative. They would just love to run against Donald Trump because that will cover up the fact that they have a flawed candidate," he said. ..... < snip >

I feel the same way.

I read a post earlier from a Cruzer pontificating on TPA and TPP. It was just plain lies, or stupidity. And that's just ONE issue. Cruzers make no effort to research and study the histories of Cruz or Trump. They just make stuff up. They are entirely content with having totally uninformed opinions and zero knowledge of the subject matter and just regurgitating talking points (or "talking lies") they hear from Ted and his sycophants (like, "60% of Republicans want someone else other than Trump," the logical equivalent of what a baby spits up when being "burped" after having had a bottle.)

I said once, the only ones in the USA who are not opposed to (and viciously hating and lying about) Trump are the PATRIOTS. The patriots of the USA. Everyone else opposes Trump in the most vicious and intentionally uninformed way.

"Conservative" talk radio. Rush turned on Trump a while back (though of course nothing like the hate that fills other talk radio). Hannity may be an exception. But Beck, Levin, and several others who may not be as widely syndicated but which fill out the hours on my local talk radio are each three hours of pure hate for Trump and blind worship of Cruz. And all seem PROUD of the fact that they know nothing about Cruz of 2 years ago, or 4, or 10 or 15, and proudly know nothing of his wife and dismiss any mention of her career as irrelevant to the Cruz candidacy. But for "conservative" talk radio to be in such perfect agreement in their love affair with Cruz and their crucifixion of Trump--reminds of how inexplicable Justice John Roberts two fateful decisions cementing Obamacare felt. More than coincidence---more like bribe, threats, blackmail, sex, i.e., the usual Washington Insider stuff that drives total allegiance (like, for example, the Omnibus spending bill brought to us by Republicans a few weeks ago.)

Cruzers are twice as loud on FR and 100 times as mean and vituperative in their hateful rants.

I agree that this is not Ted Cruz.com and actually should be the opposite: this phoney globalist puppet's followers should be sent wherever Romney's were bannished to four years ago.

The truth about Cruz is so easily available and simple to understand and widely published on the Internet (though LOTS about Ted and Heidi has been flushed down the memory hole in a sanitation of the Internet and their lives, particularly in the periods of 4 to 15 years ago.)

Cruzers have taken over FR, hijacked it with lies and ignorance. And they shouldn't even be ON here. What the hell makes them think globalists are a "fit" for a site dedicated clearly to a Free Republic?

Let me summarize: Beck, Levin and others are three hours of lies and hate of Trump; mainstream media--I haven't watched Fox since the first debate until last week's debate, and Fox's conduct again was egregiously biased against Trump and shamelessly in favor of the globalist Establishment Washington Political Class Parasite Cruz. Same with CNN, NYT, WAPO, and on and on and on. It's like it is so fashionable and trendy to compose witty bits of hate about Trump that it's irresistible. A fad that has swept up everyone except smart, observant people and patriotic, pro AMERICAN people.

It's not like I'll be missed, I still enjoy reading FR, but it has become Ted Cruz Apparatchik and Quisling Central, and I have lost interest in sharing here. At the very least, Cruzers should have been told to stop lying months ago; now they should be informed that they are simply in the wrong damn forum.

And while pundits are almost totally onboard the Hate Trump Train---much as they are universally aboard the Global Warming train---if it weren't for the truth presented factually and intelligently by Roger Stone and very few others, we'd have to each dedicate dozens and dozens of hours, as I have, to researching the truth about Cruz, because it certainly isn't summarized by the globalists (who wish to redefine "conservatism" to mean globalism: open borders, TPP-style trade deals from here on, unlimited immigration, and unlimited immigrants given all jobs in America according to the terms of the TPP at the behest of the WTO, etc.)

What could be the cause? Media Polls sample general population, but voting only allow registered republicans to vote?

I have seen Cruz supporters called traitors to their country for not backing Trump (a NY liberal who has supported with money Kerry, the Clintons, Pelosi and Reid), morons and idiots.

Your statement remains equally true if you switch the names "Cruz" and "Trump", and such insults are false and uncalled for coming from either side...

And tonight O’Reilly and Brit Hume have a ‘fair and balanced’ rap session about exit polling saying immigration issues rank last in GOP primary concerns.

No doubt a healthy percentage are Establishment minions.

In a way, it’s fun to read through the overbearing commitments to superiority. But I admit to chiding a few that felt it was necessary to mock and exploit FR.

You obviously have a lot of free time on your hands. I hope you’re diligently seeking out potentially harmful stories about Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich, not to mention doing opposition research on Bernie and Hillary, our real enemies.

So you are saying people who do not fawn over Trump! are not patriots?

Don't you think you are pushing this Trump! worship just a little too far?

Dude, you're a Trump supporter that's concerned about anti any candidate trolling? Pot, meet kettle. Kettle, meet pot.
All Trumpbots do 24/7 here on FR is continue to post nasty, vile anti-Cruz garbage non-stop.

And you guys screeching for weeks about how Trump supporters can't be "real" conservatives, are blindly following Trump with cult-like devotion, and aren't smart enough to recognize Cruz is everything we want without the baggage, has nothing to do with it.

Basically, you want U.S. patriots to shut up and not defend their country against a socialist who was a Democrat a few years ago, and has never proven he changed for any reason other than attention. We saw Hope & Change in 2008, and some of us don’t want a repeat. Trump + Democrats in Congress + some RINOs = everything the left has been unable to pass for years. If Trump gets elected, the Constitution won’t be worth the paper it’s written on.

I WILL ANYTHING I CAN MORALLY AND LEGALLY TO STOP THIS GROSS MAN.

Including sell out your country and the US Constitution by supporting a presidential candidate who has been a life-long Canadian citizen, and was/is not even eligible to hold the US Senate seat to which he was elected.

Sadly, I believe we are now firmly in the "ignore" the substance, "dismiss" the facts, and "attack the messenger" zone.

Did you even try to check the facts before posting? My last 3 [short] posts before today were on February 25, February 01 and February 01, respectively. Only one was related to Trump candidacy.

You have made more posts in the last 3 days than I have made in more than 3 months (since the beginning of this year). So which one of us obviously has more free time on his hands?

Now that we are done measuring [respective free time], do you have any substantive comments on the facts within the articles in my two posts on this thread, #1 and #37?

Delay is right up there at the pinnacle of Uni Party corruption.

Absolutely, Delay went to DC as a man of humble means and left a multi millionaire. He is the poster boy for corruption in DC.

Patriots?

Patriots?

Patriots don't contrive smears against America's most recognizable businessman predicated on NOTHING but speculation grown from the dirt of their own imaginations!

Patriots don't malign an American who has built a brand out of accomplishing what he's set out to do.

Patriots don't desire to allow a secure border, safety from foreign agents, proper thanks to our veterans, and a firearms policy that actually trusts citizens to fall back into the obscurity they have existed in for all of modern history.

Applying the term "patriots" to the collection of petulant, backbiting, Chicken Littles is enough to turn that word into a malediction!

Of course they are. The man’s bombastic nature is guaranteed ratings when they cover him. What’s more if he gets the nomination, at best he’s an easy kill for Hillary when they unleash all of the negative info they have on him, and at worst he’s a guy who’s committed to working with the left to make deals.
