Idaho churchgoers have witnessed a miracle. Less than 24 hours after praying with Ted Cruz, pastor Tim Remington was shot six times in the skull, shoulder, hip, and lung. Nevertheless, he is projected to make a surprising recovery. A manhunt is underway for shooting suspect Kyle Andrew Odom.
Roger Crigger, a friend of the Remington family, could barely contain his excitement about the miraculous recovery. He posted on Facebook late Sunday evening:
Shot six times and not ONE vital hit. One of the bullets TRIED to enter the brain but stopped at the skull, one of the bullets busted his hip, one fractured his shoulder pretty bad, but he is and will continue to be ALIVE AND SERVING GOD!...Emergency room Tech's and Dr.s are calling this a miracle...He's fine! (I know that's quite the statement, but ... He's going to be fine!)
Although Remington was shot shortly after appearing publicly with Cruz, members of his Altar Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, speculated that he was targeted for his work on drug addiction, rather than his political views.
According to the church website, Remington became interested in street ministry when he ran a coffee house with his wife, Cindy, in San Bernardino, California. The two decided to serve "those who have problems with drugs, alcohol, and perversion." In addition to his pastoral work, Remington now serves as director of Good Samaritan Rehabilitation drug and alcohol residential facilities. He and his wife have four children, and have welcomed over 300 people to live as part of their family in their home.

The Cruz rally Saturday night drew more than 3,000 people, according to local paper The Spokesman-Review. Remington gave the invocation at the beginning of the event.
The suspected shooter, 30-year-old Kyle Andrew Odom, fled in a silver 2004 Honda Accord with the license plate K578519, according to local police. Odom has blond hair and blue eyes, is 6 feet tall, and weighs about 170 pounds. Odom was a corporal in the Marine Corps and studied biochemistry at the University of Idaho, according to his Facebook page. If he has ever posted about politics, he has kept those posts private. Police consider him armed and dangerous.
Why would a Marine “allegedly” do that?
Hmm, part of the pastor’s ministry is helping people deal with perversion. Wonder if this guy had a problem with that.
I know that somehow I didn’t word this well.
Good, keep praying for this man.
I don’t care who a person is supporting, violence is evil against people not engaged in criminal activity.
Well, the media doesn’t like to “rush to judgement”, at least sometimes.
If the good pastor was serving those who had addictions to alcohol, drugs and perversion, the first thing I thought was “angry homosexual”.
Alcoholics know that alcohol is wrong and bad news, same for drug users. Homosexuals, however, rage when anyone mentions that their behaviour is sinful.
I understand the pastor also counseled substance abusers. But this guy doesn’t seem like one of those, either.
I was wondering the same thing. It takes a lot of passion to shoot another man 6 times.
Wow..
Truly miraculous.
Shot in the head, bullet stopped by the skull. Must have a thick skull :)
Sorry, sorry, could not resist. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
It is pretty darn amazing.
One ‘hard-headed’ preacher!
Severe perversion? You mean like being a rabid T.Rumpite?
I didn’t mean that I think the pastor is mixed up in any wrongdoing or immorality, I was thinking along the lines of that man who walked into the Family Research Council offices and started shooting the employees because they oppose sodomite mirage. I apologise if I gave the other impression.
No, nothing to do with his political stance.
I said earlier that "I bet the suspect is gay."
