Yet nearly two weeks ago I was a Cruz voter, but now I am not it’s you Trump supporters bla bla.

I will answer to your other post here, instead of two posts to you.

Do you seriously think Cruz has got a pathway now to the convention with PA, AZ, NY, NJ, FL, MI, OH, coming up?

I don’t think even the most ardent voter would think that, so where does it leave Cruz?
Well if he takes enough delegates then the establishment goes to the convention.

Problem for them is that if they do not give it top Trump they will piss off millions of voters , including non party voters.
If they ignore Cruz they piss Cruz voters off.
If they give it to Romney etc then they piss both voters off.

The fact is that the GOP are to blame for the rise of Trump and they are to blame for all this mess.

Then think it through!

If Cruz knows he can’t get the delegates outright, and he knows that the establishment will not reward him, then how does he move ahead?

You were the one who said Cruz was only in it for himself, right? I mean that is what you posted to me.

So what can Cruz gain by staying in?

The VP slot. His delegates plus Trumps delegates will likely be well over 2,000 combined.

If Cruz releases his delegates to vote for Trump, then he owes nothing to the establishment. Not. A. Thing.

And Trump, the master negotiator and compromiser who always likes to come out on top, has an easy way to win the nomination: give Cruz the VP slot.

The only people who don’t see this are those who believe the bluster and rhetoric. Trust me, Trump and Cruz understand the math, they understand the situation, and they understand how you fight hard for your position and then take what you can get.

Trump gets the nomination, Cruz gets to be the running mate, and the GOP establishment gets screwed.

And Romney will graciously lose to Hillary. Mission accomplished.

I understand the rage and the desire to burn it all down. But I refuse to suspend reason.

“David Duke told the press that he never endorsed Trump. It was posted over and over on FR.”

I get it, but that’s not the point.

Duke or Romney or whomever who sua sponte decides to support a given candidate is not the fault of said candidate.

“We have known who the true outsider conservative has been all along, Ted Cruz. The GOPe may hate Ted Cruz, but if the GOPe politicians want to get re-electd this fall, their chances are much better with Cruz than Trump as the nominee. They want to save their own political lives more than their hatred of Cruz.”

I think that is correct.

As I suspected little lying Teddy isn’t as severely conservative as he would have you believe.

Absolutely! Remember, Bush and Reagan were at each other’s throats in 1980, and they came together. Clinton and Gore in 92 was the same way. In 68, Reagan and Rockerfeller almost joined forces to snatch the nomination away from Nixon.

These types of pair-ups happen all the time in Presidential politics. And besides, it’s just bluster and rhetoric.

No rage here. I am viewing Trumpville dispassionately.

There are only 3 outcomes for the residents.

All will result in bitter disappointment. They’ve invested way too much of themselves.

One outcome: Trump will lose the primary to Ted Cruz.

Two outcome: Trump will get the nomination but lose to Hillary.

Third outcome: Trump will win the presidency.

The third outcome would be the most horribly painful for the residents of Trumpville, as he will disappoint them so badly.

I don’t remember that far back , sorry LOL, but I am hoping you are right .

Nothing would be better than seeing those two come together and give the middle finger to the establishment after how they have treated us and are still doing.
