Cruz is not a liar, but Trump is a manipulative, vindictive flip-flopper who takes all sides of an issue so he can call anyone a liar who questions him. He flip flopped during a debate. He is all over the map.

Voters at my caucus were “armed” with nothing. We had to stand in line for awhile so we talked. I am sure the conversations were diverse. I was fortunate to be surrounded by fellow Cruz supporters. It was awesome.

Trump is many things not all good but his best trait is that he’s not a liar. The press is able to hit him because no matter what the repercussions, he tells the truth.

But Ted is a liar, I’ve watched him over and over. He takes a snippet of truth then extrapolates to some fictional conclusion and broadcasts that everywhere possible. And I think it’s his ad that implies Trump is using illegals on the P.O. job because the talked to some who “had entered the country illegally”.

I guess that’s Cruz’s version of the truth again, they entered illegally. Even though they now all have to be legal to work on a GSA job, he again twists facts and puts out national ads.

When he says Cruz’s birth place was not an issue and then as polls move in he says it is, even threatens to sue, is that being a liar? I think so. When he flip flops, is that being dishonest or just uninformed or indecisive?

Cruz sucked up to Trump in the beginning and Trump made it clear he liked Cruz. But I heard him say for the beginning that though he liked one guy in particular, there might be a little problem with the birth thing.

And Trump’s “flip-flops” are media generated for the most part. Trump does change his mind if facts warrant because he’s not a politician whose entire speeches are honed to perfection so they never get called on anything.

I think both have a problem with exaggeration and even misleading.

For example, on the surface at least it would appear that Cruz’s straight flat tax effectively eviscerates the IRS which I think is the point. However, when you look closer, just the fact that it is an income tax means that the role of the IRS (or whatever agency Cruz wants to call its replacement - that IS misleading on Cruz’s part) although greatly reduced in size and scope would still involve obnoxious investigations into one’s income to verify whether all income has been reported. And that issue even rolls back to the definition of what is income.

Cruz’s REAL problem IMO is his resistance to resolving his NBC status which IMO makes him look like the typical career politician putting his political prospects ahead of the good of the country. To me that is a real problem with Cruz.

So yes, Cruz may be exaggerating, but Trump is too. I mean I support Trump but he also has some real problems IMO. For instance when he says Mexico will pay for the wall what he means is he will put enough tariffs (taxes) on their incoming good so the U.S. government will use the money to pay for the wall. But who REALLY is paying for the wall? Not Mexico - the tax doesn’t hurt Mexico - the prices are already contracted for between Mexican and U.S. distributors. The tariff (tax) forces the costs of these goods higher as they enter our country forcing higher prices at the local distributor for the American consumer. So it’s the American consumer that is really paying for the wall in higher prices forced upon them by these tariffs. So Trump is also misleading.

I’m a Trump supporter but whaddaygonna do? Dang man, they’re politicians and fallible. More reason why we should do the best we can to get the best we can in there, but trust the Lord to bring actual recovery to America.

Yep. However Trump’s decision to do a rally today in Wichita was expecially brilliant in that there is only ONE caucus location for all of Sedgwick County (plus two smaller adjacent ones) and that’s the building where Trump spoke! So they literally could hear Trump and then walk over to the caucus. Sedgewick includes Wichita with it’s sizable industrial base, and has 1/2 million people, the 2nd largest county in Kansas.

Trump turned vicious on Cruz first. He admitted in at one of the debates. Trump said it was because the polls were narrowing.

I disagree about the flip-flops being media generated. They are Trump generated. But by all means vote your conscience. I did. It will be what it will be. (hmmm...sounds like a song I once heard, lol)

Trump does exaggerate it’s part of “The Art of The Deal”. But America now is so afraid of increasing foreign goods that they let the world walk all over us.

Look at it from the other side. If Mexico increases the cost of their products due to tariffs, fewer people will buy them. That will hurt Mexico. Best case scenario, some American country will then make that product and we’ll be creating jobs and making profits for our own country instead of every foreign government on the map.

Changing the subject to something funny....

My caucus location was a church. In the lobby was a big yellow twisted tube slide for kids. I told the 50s something man in front of me that I would give him all the money in my purse (which was not much) if he would go up there (it began on the 2nd floor) and slide down that slide. LOL. I know he was thinking about it, but then he said he was afraid he would get stuck and they would call out the fire department to get him out. LOL.
