The rest of us have formed our values and looked for a candidate who shares them. Trump supporters have found a candidate whose personality they like and shifted all their beliefs to be in line behind whatever he says. That’s the way leaders have taken hold in most countries throughout history. America was supposed to be different, a democracy where leaders followed the dictates of the people. Trump supporters want a very different country from traditional America. They want a strongman President who does all their thinking for them.

We haven’t disavowed every conservative who’s opposed our candidate as apostates despite us supporting them and sharing their values for years. We haven’t defended a candidate who doesn’t share our values because he can get “Democrat” votes. The establishment said that for years about McCain and Romney and we always rightly said they were wrong, only a true conservative can win.

Hello? A true conservative can’t even win Red States in the South.

I expected Cruz wouldn’t do well in NH but to lose the Deep South to someone who isn’t even a true conservative is shocking.

If he couldn’t win there, he can’t win anywhere. And close losses in KY and LA do not count.

but it would be very interesting if the the island looks at today’s results and goes for the other than expected Cuban.

Trump didn't compete there, but there's a brotherhood of sorts between NYC and Puerto Rico. There are probably more Puerto Ricans here than on the island itself. With that said, they mainly vote Democrat.

It's likely Rubio's to lose tomorrow, even though I'd love to see Little Marco get embarrassed.

It’s because in the South, our illegals beat Trump penyatas in their yards. You can’t find a Cruz penyata anywhere in the country. Sends a real clear message.

I can live with that!

I’m trying to figure out a post-midnight snack myself. :-)

...Dang, low on everything that does not need cooking. Ice water will have to do...

One wonders if Trump hears stuff like the ABC Radio News report I was listening to a few days ago, when Trump was holding (IIRC) another news conference at his place in FL, and the news report was more about how lavish the venue was, than any news content, which (news content) mostly consisted of the KKK story, but did not include Trump’s disavowal(s) B4 and after. I heard basically the same repeated twice more, that afternoon, got it again on NBC’s Evening News, and yet again on our local CBS affiliate at 10 pm. Then the KKK story was on Anti-Trump PAC ads the next 2 days. I never heard any on-air response by Trump. (We only have over-the-air TV and std. internet, no Internet TV.) The Romney speech was a big story too. I thought maybe this would backfire, but must conclude this time this stuff hurt, and Trump’s usual wise-*** retorts are not going to work against this level of attacks from all sides.

Gotta drop this for now - have a project for a customer due Monday, and need to get in a couple more hours so adhesives can set B4 I resume tomorrow (plus go see the P’s, who are about 1-1/2 hours away, and take Mom to church.)

The Bush’s won, and they were moderates, really. Not that they helped the conservative cause a lot.

I think it’s more accurate to say that only a conservative who can persuade some moderates (Reagan Dems) to come along, in conjunction with a poor Dem candidate, can create a conservative win. Or, one creates a populist movement of some sort. Otherwise, the demographics are just too heavily against us, not to mention the weight of the Establishment.

There were several examples in the thread as well as an op-Ed with him supporting .TPA. He admitted he voted for it.

RitaOKC had an excellent post itemizing Cruz’s establishment credentials - I’ll try to recap...and obviously Cruz supporters will ignore to support their Canuck messiah.

Cruz voted for TPP
Cruz voted for Corker’s Iran nuke deal
Cruz, as an executive on NRSC, donated $250k at the behest of McConnell, that was used in the 2014 Mississippi fraud
Cruz joined Bushie organization in 2000
Cruz wrote WSJ op-ed to endorse Dread Pirate John Roberts for SCOTUS (an indicator of future appointments)
Cruz now has JEB campaign team on his staff - THAT screams Establishment
No doubt, Hellry would not only sue him if Cruz is nominee but would eat him alive on debates. A polite Hahvud debater is NOT what is needed to defeat the witch
Cruz was supporting amnesty...until recently - a move so transparent anyone can see his dishonesty
Jeff Sessions endorsed Trump - not Cruz
Sarah Palin endorsed Trump - not Cruz

Cruzers need to wake up and see Cruz as the stealth Establishment candidate he always has been.

He admitted he voted for it.

I see you are doubling down on the first lie by making up a new one. Here is the vote again. Here again is the final vote on the bill. Cruz is a 'NO' vote:

Record vote No. 219 - 24 June 2015

Enough with the lies already. Cruz voted against TPA.

Quite honestly.....and you know it’s true.....

I think you may be misinterpreting my motivation for what I'm saying. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a need to say this because you're right: I DO agree with everything you're saying! I'm an AlwaysTrump supporter, which is why I'm concerned. The Mississippi Treatment is now in full force, along with electronic election fraud. I'm talking about a full-pledged psyops campaign to paint Trump, you, and me as ignorant, toothless racists who are too stupid to know what's best for our country. That, combined with sophisticated and very undetectable rootkit malware that can easily convert Trump's vote to whichever candidate the UniParty thinks is most feasible at the moment.

I want what's best for Trump. All I'm saying is that with all those evil forces trying to take him down, it's frustrating to me when he lets his emotions overtake his brain. Don't make it easy for MSNBC to put together a segment that portrays him as a GeorgeWallaceBarryGoldwater-era racist. YES, they're going to do it anyway, but why make it easy for them? (The turnaround time for Rachel Maddow's "TrumpIsHitler" footage was 24 hours or less, using live footage.) In other words, I think you may be mistaking frustration for something else here. I just want Trump to have more 'thinking' and less 'feeling.'

In March he voted for it and Closure when a sixty vote threshold was needed. He voted against it in June with a 50 vote threshold for passage.

Did you look at all the links and articles posted in the thread. Obviously not.

The next week. I expect Trump will win the Michigan primary narrowly against Kasich but Kasich could pull the upset depending on the Rubio and Cruz votes.

I expect Mississippi will vote for Trump in its primary looking at the results of the states around Mississippi and its demographics.

I expect Hawaii will go to Rubio in their caucus but one never counts Cruz out in a caucus state.

Idaho will go to Cruz with Trump a close second.

AGAIN, you are citing the wrong bill. Here AGAIN is the cloture vote. Cruz is a 'NO' on cloture.

TPA Cloture vote (HR 2146) - 24 June 2015

Can you please stop lying about what Ted Cruz did? Thanks.
