Sounds like Cruz is parroting the GOPe talking points/agenda tonight, demanding that Trump release the NYT tapes, etc. Sheesh!
The whole “release the tapes thing” is annoying.
Off the record means off the record. If that gets violated, then the media will just lay traps (for whomever) and then release tapes whenever it suits them.
A smart politician will honor the agreement and not make it easy for the media to break the agreement.
