There is something demeaning and haughty about Cruz’s mannerisms and speech.

It just doesn't work for him. He is trying to be something he is not.

His IQ is only 150. He's not intelligent enough to dominate through sheer intellect; but he's so used to being around bureaucrats and politicians, that he got used to being able to tower over them, and mistakenly thought he could do it to everyone else.

But people in the real world want more than haughtily-delivered and incomplete syllogisms; they want action and confidence. Hence Trump.
