How the GOP Insiders Plan to Steal the Nod From Trump
Breitbart ^

“Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” – Eric Hoffer

Despite a growing string of victories in the Republican primaries ,the DC-Wall Street cabal that has dominated the GOP since 1988 has no intention of letting the billionaire real estate mogul be nominated. None other than Karl Rove has insisted the stop-Trump effort is not too late and can succeed.

A new superPAC has dumped $10 million dollars into blistering negative TV ads against Trump in the last three days. The Koch brothers and their associates deny funding the effort but they denials are questionable at best. The New York Times reported Sunday that the Rubio and Kasich campaigns are now openly planning on a ‘brokered convention” to stop Trump in the back rooms in Cleveland. The New York Daily News reported that Barbara Bush has vowed revenge against Trump for ending the “low energy” campaign of her son Jeb, the anointed one and that the Bush clan is all-in in the effort to stop Trump. The News reported that Jeb may transfer the $25 to $30 million in SuperPAC funds he has left to an anti-Trump effort

How did our culture and nation deteriorate so badly in just 50 years?

A substantial rejection of God in the public sector has a lot to do with it. He is not pleased, and we are paying a price.

Is leading the pack with totals in the 35% to 40% range enough to claim that anyone has “earned” the nomination? Does being able to cobble together a coalition that gives another candidate 60% to 65% of the vote mean that other candidate hasn’t earned the nomination?

One word: playoffs. (should be runoffs, but I'm a sports oriented guy, so...)

Give me a break. If Trump wins a true majority of delegates he wins in the first vote at the convention. If he does not get a majority of delegates and the Republican party manages to nominate someone else it will be the end of the Trump candidacy not the Republican party. Trump supporters may revolt but if there aren’t enough of those to elect Trump there aren’t enough to end the Republican party.

So far the situation as you see it is nowhere close to reality.

Trump is winning a good 65% of the delegates so far. Before voting today Trump has 82 delegates, next close is Cruz with 17.

After today, Super Tuesday, Trump will likely have over 80% perhaps closer to 85%. It is getting harder and harder to see a way to stop him.

I totally don't understand the GOPe if you have a sure winner why not work with it?

” If Trump doesn’t get the nomination, his supporters will stay home.”

I don’t think that’s true. Who did Trump supporters support before Trump? They will go back to that candidate. What Trump brings to the race is something unlike Romney or McLame brought to their races, conservative support. If Rubio won the nomination I would probably stay home since I already had that in 2008 and 2012. If Trump wins the nomination, I am voting for him, even though I am a Cruz supporter.

Breitbart.com is all in for Trump, Andrew must be rolling over in his grave.
Trump could murder a reporter at a rally and his brown shirts would say ‘see he gets thing done!’ and breitbart.com would find reasoning behind it!

Not according to a lot of Trump supporters on this forum. They have openly said if Trump does not get the nomination or goes independent, they will vote for him or stay home. And then they jump all over anyone who says they will vote 3rd part or stay home if Trump DOES get the nomination. Now, not all of them say they will do that, but a significant number of them do.

If they override the people, then I won’t be voting for the GOP in the election. Let’s see if they can win with their politically correct establishment candidate without Trump voters’ support.

Who the hell are you to come in here and label Trump supporters “brownshirts?”

Class action lawsuit filed by Republican voters under RICO statutes violation.
Organized crime designed to deny us our vote.

Blah, blah, blah, after tonight the fat lady will be warming up and there isn’t much the GOPe can do about March 15th. Once Trump wraps up the nomination in a couple of weeks everybody will settle down.

The Ruling Class will stop at nothing to dispose of Donald Trump. Americans are about to find out that this country is not “governed by the consent of the governed” and hasn’t been for a very long time.

I’m not a Trump supporter, but if they do this, I will formally leave the party for good. What a disaster.

Just wondering -

If Trump gets sandbagged due to a brokered convention and ends up going independent, will he lose Secret Service protection afforded to him as a viable Presidential candidate?

Headline failed to note the theft is not only from Trump but the American people. The oligarchs have declared war against the citizens of this country. We are nothing but bystanders who exist to legitimize a process called a primary with our vote and then we are to sit down, shut up and let the racketeers override everything by picking their puppet. Later, they expect us to hold our nose and vote their pick for president.
