Never listen to this sanctimonious moralist & open borders twit. Love how he lectures about the whole man-women thing as he is on his what....third, or fourth marriage ?
Ronald Reagan’s 11th commandment seems in very short supply this season. Praeger’s right.
Anyone can claim to be a Republican.
Trump supporters destroyed ancient Israel? Damn, I need to brush up on my history.
Stupid moron, how did this idiot expect those that betray America to be treated?
“And Republicans will have no one to blame but themselves.” (if they lose)
At least Dennis has that part right. I’ll always like him for his Happiness Hour, which is great stuff.
But, he wants Rubio? I appreciate the fact that at least he will say who he supports.
Unfortunately Rubio is a non-starter since America will be lost without strong border security implemented as quickly as possible.
Dennis is a true American treasure. His topics tend to involve morality, religions, fairness and decency.
I attend his yearly High Holiday Services. He is inspirational and wisdom does drip from his mouth on the themes of these momentous holidays. I’ve heard him speak on childrearing and politics and I do love him.
But I don’t agree with him on Trump. We definitely agree that Hillary is to be prevented at all costs.
He’s right. Even here at FR we are throwing dirt at each other, fighting so much that if we don’t get over it we may give Hillary the Presidency. Look, let’s not get ad hominem any more. NO ONE SHOULD STAY HOME in Nov out of spite or huff.
Dennis has a point.
I too lament this. I don’t support Rubio or Kasich but would like to think I could have a civil discussion with those folks.
The Democrats infected our political discourse with this when they embraced Saul Alinsky and all he stood for four decades ago.
Prager is determined to go down with the ship.
Well, ‘bye.
Dems have finally reaped what they have sown. What happens next when it is not just nasty words if this is not solved now?
Very few are looking at what is coming next and that include Trump that has ridden this wave. What happens if the old Trump emerges and the base realizes they have been had? This whole thing is a powder-keg.
We may be on the cusp of a movement that will lead to a great cataclysm in our Republic.
When the mob is behind the demagogue on a white horse, all reason or civility goes out the window in the name of patriotism. All that is needed is promises for change of an intolerable situation, and a populist may be the chosen One of the people.
It happened in Rome(Caesar), Greece (Pesistratus), Revolutionary France (Robespierre) and of course, Germany (Hitler).
And if you think about it, you could add Obama to the list for our country so Trump would not be the first.
When Dennis first started on LA radio he used to correct his listeners and tell them that he wasn’t a conservative.
Dennis was and is a non-Leftist, ‘60s Democrat. A Bobby Kennedy, Gene McCarthy kind of guy.
And he still is.
But along with a lot of neoconservatives he decided to support Ronald Reagan and began adopting the name of “conservative” while not sharing a lot of what most conservatives think. One of Dennis’ main interests being to promote mass immigration, the more the merrier.
Larry Auster used to call him a “confused liberal” IIRC.
I’ve always liked Prager. He often has a different take on issues. It’s worth it to follow the link to read his article. Many of the responses to this post seem to make his point.
Anyway, here’s an excerpt:
“So this is where we stand today:
Many anti-Rubio Republicans regard Rubio as a traitor on the immigration issue and therefore have contempt for his supporters. Many anti-Cruz Republicans regard Cruz as an extremist conservative who is, moreover, a misanthrope, and therefore have contempt for his supporters. And many anti-Trump Republicans — perhaps most — regard Trump as a dangerous fraud, and therefore view his supporters with contempt.
Needless to say, with these attitudes, there is little chance any Republican can win.
So, then, despite eight years of failure under a Democratic president, and with Hillary Clinton — widely regarded as an untrustworthy woman who has put her pursuit of money and power above the interests of her country — as the Democratic candidate, Republicans will still lose.
And Republicans will have no one to blame but themselves.”
