Your transcript is dated February 3. The bill was not even introduced to the Senate until mid April through late June. Don’t you think Rush was still trusting Rubio on his campaign promises — that is until he got a look at the actual bill and the rejection of any amendments to improve it? Shouldn’t you also post things Rush said throughout the period the bill was being presented and debated? Why go way back to well before the bill was even finished and presented?
The Human Rights Campaign (pro-gay et. al. lobby) hates him. They essentially give him a "zero" if they were to assign a score.
So I don't know what you mean.

It’s a given, and why anyone thinks they they’re having a real effect on the nomination and election process, I have no idea. If it’s wishy-washy weak-minded and easily misled voters they’re looking for they shouldn’t be looking for them here. They should be looking in the high schools, community colleges. universities, dog parks and in the malls of towns that even have them any more.
So are Rush, Ingraham, Hannity, and Levin nutjobs? Conspirators? These are some mighty serious charges being lobbed at longtime conservatives — all to promote a so-called recent convert, Trump.

I read all of this and to me, it seemed a herculean effort by Rush to cede the Amnesty/Pathway thing and minimize it by stressing all the things Rubio supposedly has done to the ‘establishment’ - how he is JUST like Cruz!
Straining, struggling, with a little ‘wincing’ even, trying not to blow out his sphincter in passing off his defense of Rubio. I read it and it looked to me like Rush was in the process of cutting an air-biscuit and then slinking out of the room.
Bottom line, Rubio is an Amnesty Snake and if he ever got elected we would have 20-50 million new Democrat citizen voters in this country, increasing their bite at the entitlement apple while providing no added value. That’s it - nutshell. Nothing else about Rubio matters to me.
Rush always has been confident that he had loyal listeners. I guess he must’ve believed we’re stupid listeners, too, and can’t think for ourselves.
Don’t let facts get into your thought process.
One of Rubio’s closest advisers is a gay marriage activist. Rubio does the both sides of his mouth thing with “it is settled law” but he is against it. Everyone says they are not personally for it. That means noting in our political doublespeak culture. Once you get used it the language of doublespeak, you can spot the fakers. Obviously it would not hold up in court. But it is on the level of “depends on what the definition of the word ‘is’ is..” It’s parsing.
Well, I'll admit to laughing at his 'hey I just checked Rush's files' BS.

It is about collusion to tamp down opposition to amnesty by Senators and media moguls, and conservative talk show hosts being enlisted for the effort.

I do not listen to Rush much, so I cannot say. I seriously doubt this is a fair take. Rush is more of an explainer of people’s positions, so any one segment may or may not be his own opinion.
I do listen to Levin and he is not even SLIGHTLY pro amnesty. To say he is is to slander him.
Take your blinders off.

Onyx is correct she said that Rush supported Rubio as a full throated conservative recently, with the transcript to prove it.
Even Stevie Wonder could see that what Rush said is a load of horse manure.
When Rush tells a whopper, he has to be called on it.
