Christie is not in the POTUS race anymore though, so why does his previous comments matter?
In the field of horrible open borders Republicans, he is one of the less terrible and knows how to argue and feeds Trump some debate and wording tips.
He endorsed Trump today and personally I was kind of , meh, about it because I consider Christie a big fat RINO and I had thought a cheap labor advocate.
This comment shows he at least knows the difference between a citizen of the US and a citizen of another country.
Hey, that’s more than we’d ever get out of McCain, Garham, Rubio, Flake, Etc, etc, etc.
Because there is now talk that he could be Trump's VP or a member of his cabinet. This is the beginning of talking up Christie.
