If he didn’t ‘get it’ 4 years ago when he actually ran, I don’t see how he would now.
None of them get it. They want to search for these deep reasons, such as the tripe on Trump supporters loving authority. Nothing like this is brought up when they hold the power.

Imagine Trump handling the b.s. Romney fell for:
1. They say my wife has a horse and it is expensive. That’s right. I’m rich. Very rich. Billions. I’m successful. Most politicians are broke losers who only make money stealing it from you or the people who pay them off to steal from you.
2. 47%. That’s right. There are people who are going to vote for Democrats no matter what we say or do. I hope they vote for me, but they probably won’t. And there’s 47% that vote Republican. So I guess we are fighting over the 6% independents. Bring it on.
But of that 47%. If you’re African American and in a big city it’s 50/50 that you are unemployed. How’s voting for Democrats making you better, your family, your community? Your jobs have been taken and handed to illegal aliens. Not even here legally over you, an American, all thanks to the Democrats.
Vote for me. I’ll build the wall. Deport the illegals. And 15 bucks an hour will be peanuts compared to the jobs you’ll be able to get!

They have been actively working to thwart the will of the people to stop the illegal alien inundation for decades.
