The prosecutor who brought these charges needs to be prosecuted himself. This is abuse of office if there ever was any.

It’s about time.

Justice delayed is justice denied. The AG should prosecute the accusers and the corrupt judge for legal misconduct.

Should be able to now go after those making political charges.

Why does this seem to happen with frequency in Texas?

Time to charge the crooked special prosecutor with prosecutorial misconduct and malicious prosecution. These charges were so trumped up that even the justice department said it was flimsy.

Yet another political fishing expedition fail by the Travis County DA office. This scope needs to be removed from a county prosecutor’s office and moved to an independent state function. Travis County has repeatedly proven political bias. But then Ronnie Earle also tried going after Bob Bullock. What did Bob Bullock allegedly do to incur the wrath of Earle?

Lawfare. Something we expect from Democrats. Sad that this fallacious case hurt a good man.

Probably because they have found they can achieve political goals with this methodology. They need to be roundly disabused of this notion. The best method is to toss a few abusers into prison.

Glad to see this. The lawsuit was a political hit piece, the woman involved was really really drunk and should have resigned, it made a mockery of her office. And was so rude and obnoxious to the officers at the police station she had to be strapped into a chair, (I forget what they call it) I watched the video soon after it happened, Perry plainly had a solid case against her.

I never wanted Perry for President, but he did do a pretty good job as Governor. Glad this has been thrown out of court.

Because it is the same liberal group that pushes for indictments against Republican officeholders in Texas. The group led by Craig McDonald is called Texans for Public Justice.

I see this as abuse of power. This stuff needs to be stopped because it is a corruption of power. It is necessary in maintaining the rule of law to prevent political prosecutions. That is how a nation devolves into a third world banana republic.
