The Republican Establishment brought this on themselves.

I’ll let Mel Robbins have the final word; really he says it far better than I ever could:

So what is the GOP waiting for? In the past six GOP primaries without an incumbent, with the exception of Newt Gingrich in 2012, every South Carolina winner since 1980 went on to become the eventual Republican nominee.

“For all Trump haters, that’s not good news.

If you are still crossing your fingers hoping for a Rubio surge, I advise you, don’t waste your time. The race is over. It’s time for the GOP establishment to decide if it wants to continue the identity crisis or elect a President.

The Republican nominee is Donald Trump.”

It’s virtually over. It will be absolutely over when Trump takes a majority of the delegates at the SEC primary on 1 March with a close 2nd or a win in Texas. On 12 & 15 March he’ll win Rubio’s Florida and Kasich’s Ohio.

Then it is definitely over over over. Trump will blow them out in the Northeast States, the great lakes states, and the Northwest states.

After SEC there is no bastion of strength left for Cruz, and after Florida what really does Rubio have?

>>>The Republican Establishment brought this on themselves.

Yep. In all fairness...I voted for Cruz in our primary.

With that being said...I heard a Cruz fan calling into the radio station this morning and complaining about how ignorant Trump voters were. It enraged me....and nothing could be further from the truth.

I know plenty of very smart...very educated...well informed people who are Trump voters. Why? They are furious at DC! They are tired of being told "we know better than you....but thanks for your vote!" This is SQUARELY at the feet of the GOP-E...because they did not fight like we voted for them to do. PERIOD.

And the lie that Trump can't win the general election? THAT is ignorance. Trump will beat Hill/Bern much more soundly than Rubio or Cruz. He has broad appeal...and the dem base is demoralized at their choices. Hispanics will support him, more than they will Cruz/Rubio...and the dims will be lucky if only 20% of their black base deserts them.

“The Republican Establishment brought this on themselves.”......

YES, and hopefully they will rue the day when Trump brings it down around their ears. Trump saw the massive weakness in the republican party and has taken the advantage of using it against them, he is no dummy. I can also see a totally different conservative party erupting when the dust settles and the republican party only a bad memory. Yes, they DID bring it on themselves.
