Quinton Tellis was reportedly indicted in the burning death of a 19-year-old Jessica Chambers.

A Mississippi man already suspected in a murder reportedly has been indicted in the December 2014 burning death of a 19-year-old woman.

Quinton Tellis, 27, was indicted on capital murder charges Tuesday by a special grand jury in the death of Jessica Chambers, The Clarion-Ledger reported.

Tellis is currently being held in the Ouachita Parish Jail in Monroe, La. on charges connected to the August 2015 death of a University of Louisiana Monroe exchange student, the newspaper reported.

Authorities in Panola County, Miss. have scheduled a press conference about the case for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Chambers was found on a back road shortly after 8 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2014, with burns covering more than 98 percent of her body.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, Chambers was walking away from her burning vehicle and able to utter a few words to them about the attack -- though authorities have not said what, if anything, the young woman was able to communicate. She later died from her injuries at a hospital in Memphis.

Administer the same punishment to this sub-human the same penalty he administered to the victim.

sometimes, it’s just a damn shame that the constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishments.

Our current fed judges would invoke the 8th Amendment, unfortunately.

I agree with you, but lawyers can be squirrelly at times.

They were in a relationship despite his having a criminal record going back a few years.

I’m sure she was warned over and over about him.

I’m not for vigilante justice and cruel and unusual, but there are cases, like this one, where I wouldn’t lose any sleep if some very swift and extra were to be meted out.

MSM pushes white girls to do this thinking it’s cool or hip or stylish ... without telling them they are 10x more likely to be the victim of violence dating black dudes.

13% of the population responsible for 50% of the violent crime in this country.

Should be a clue. He apparently murdered an Asian girl as well in other charges pending against him.

I’m not either but animals like this guy need, at the very least, a speedy execution following their speedy trial. Cruel and unusual is never justified but speedy execution frequently is.

If guilty (more than likely), I hope he has the most brutal execution.

I sure hope he doesn’t walk. From what little I know, this may be a somewhat difficult case to convict.

I know and knew exactly what you were saying. I didn’t mean to imply anything other than agreeing with you. :)

If he’s guilty, I hope he gets the max allowable by law.

The people that did this crime...

...sure didn’t get what they deserved. It reminds me of that case in its evilness and cruelty.

Over the years, I’ve read some about the murders of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom.

Some people are going to have a really bad eternity.

“13% of the population responsible for 50% of the violent crime in this country.”

If you just look at the male half of that 12-13%, it is even more pronounced.

They were in a relationship despite his having a criminal record going back a few years.

Which history included domestic violence, gang-involved violence, and drug dealing. She could hardly have been ignorant of the last two. Still an incredible shame.
