Donald Trump Bashes Ted Cruz for Missed Vote: 'So Important to Audit the Federal Reserve'

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump went after GOP rival Sen. Ted Cruz for missing a Senate vote on a bill that would have audited the Federal Reserve.

"It is so important to audit The Federal Reserve, and yet Ted Cruz missed the vote on the bill that would allow this to be done," Trump posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon.

Cruz missed a vote on legislation in the Senate that reportedly would have audited the Federal Reserve, as the Guardian noted, as did former Rep. Ron Paul to campaign for his son Sen. Rand Paul.

Paul referenced Cruz's missed vote, previously telling Iowans, "That's not the type of leadership we need in the White House."

Ben Jacobs, a reporter for the British newspaper The Guardian, reported Cruz has attempted to gather support from libertarian minded Republicans. "However, by skipping the vote on auditing the Fed, Cruz risks jeopardizing some of the credibility he has built in [the libertarian] faction of the Republican party. Auditing the Federal Reserve has long been an animating cause of Paul and his supporters and it has taken on major symbolic significance," Jacobs wrote.

Judge Napolitano said Trump is the first frontrunner in any party to ever call to audit the Fed. Whoa.

Wow - if Trump is for editing the FED, then its settled. He’s got my vote.

The Fed and its printed money and unlimited debt creation is the life-support and foundation of Fed.gov and the nanny state.

I thought Ted Cruz was getting the Paul vote. Trump is with his foreign policy and anti-establishment talk.

This is why;

Donald Trump, Jr. Speaks 2-22-16 Elko NV.
https://youtu.be/1IqfRbjcpDY

It’s a Q and A. Don Jr is more articulate than most candidates in the race! Talks fast, not in a patronizing way and not like he’s lecturing. Lots about government waste, small government, “the left”, the constitution, the second amendment.

“I”m probably the only billionaire’s son more comfortable in a D-10 Cat than a golf cart.”

He personally reloads 100 different calibers.

Don Jr is part of the full court press from Trump.

Very impressive.

Not surprising. Cruz missed 24 percent of Senate roll call votes in 2015, second only to Rubio.

Hilarious that they are the last two senators standing.

He really is pushing for the Libertarian vote (the millenials) I’ve noticed. Quite frankly, I would love to see The Fed blown wide open and transparent. Whether he accomplishes that remains to he seen.

According to (I think) 60 Minutes many years ago The Fed tries to balance to within 60 million per day. They need an audit

Ted will want to audit the Fed once he hears about this. And call it his idea.

No excuse for missing this vote unless you are dead. We pay them to get it done.

This is how our land gets ruined ...

Won’t happen not until a fundamental shift of policy driven from Congress....just as with the big beautiful wall....won’t be built unless of course through edict only to be halted by the courts....

Just not gonna happen but is hope and change is what floats people’s boats who am I to spoil the party?
