For years, the Republican party has been shunning the pick of the base, refusing to support the most popular candidate and instead picking some boring RINO like Romney or McCain. This is true of smaller races, as well. They do not win many elections with that strategy, yet they keep doing it over and over.

The electorate has been communicating what it wants for years, but the Republican party has not heard.

Will they finally get a clue, or will they go the way of the whigs, with the electorate finally tossing out the political hacks in favor of real representatives?

They got a clue. They have no desire to see their gravy train leave the station. It’s a big problem Mom. Our system of government has become so enormous, they have a department for everything. If they don’t have one they’ll create a new one quickly. But all these appointments and positions are given to cronies, donors, influence peddlers and well connected insiders. And it don’t matter if they’re qualified for zip. We need a leader that will assign these command positions to people who are actually qualified. If that means bringing in DC outsiders, that’s what we need.
