Ralston: Nevada is no longer a ‘lock’ for Hillary Clinton (Panic time for Billary)
WaPo ^ | 02-16-2016 | Jon Ralston

RENO, Nev. -- Nevada is still the new kid on the block when it comes to early-state status in the presidential race. But this year, the state could play a pivotal role on both sides.

With the Democratic caucuses approaching on Feb. 20, followed by the Republican caucuses on Feb. 23, both contests have become increasingly intense, especially the pitched battle here between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

The Republicans are sending surrogates as South Carolina intervenes Saturday, three days before Nevada Republicans vote on their presidential preference. But both Democratic candidates spent the weekend in Nevada, and Clinton canceled events in Florida on Monday to campaign an extra day in the state, a clear sign her campaign is concerned about a place once considered a lock for her.

It is a lock no more.

Bernie Sanders is by far the more dangerous of the two Democratic candidates. We ignore him at our peril.

The good news is that Hillary is falling; the bad news is that Bernie is rising.

WOW ARE YOU RIGHT@!!!

if he wins, then we’re no longer a republic because a socialist, and probably communist will be in power.

they dont relinquish.

he spent his first 40 years not working and spewing violent vitriol at America and its values.

But I have a feeling putting up a trillion a year tax isn’t going to go over great.

but then with black, hispanice and under 30 punks, white single women under 40, and the fruits...one never knows.

if he wins and reparations are paid, i’m up for any response.

Maybe Hillary can revitalize her campaign by barking like a dog some more????

Or trot out Bill some more, haggard and frail as he has become, to try to remind us of the glory of the ‘90s????

Hillary has bought all of the superdelegates. She is leaving nothing to chance this time around.

Bernie could win every Dem primary/caucus, and Hillary would still get the nomination. The “Super-Delegates” will makes sure of that.

Bernie is dangerous, but with him we would get to the collapse that much quicker and we can start rebuilding. So there’s that.

I think Clinton is more dangerous, but I can see why you’d think that.

She can lose many primaries, but the convention will choose Mrs. Bill.

Super Delegates aren't locked into until the convention.

No way they go against the popular choice.

No, the Democrats wouldn't give the nomination to someone who hasn't won the popular Democrat vote.

Hillary had to give up her Super Delegates to Obama last time.

It will say much more about the fecklessness, weakness, spinelessness, and stupidity of the GOP if either wins.

No way they go against the popular choice.

If that is true, it will be a first for the Democrat Party. Their whole party apparatus is designed to avoid the will of the people.
