Is 1895 a typo? Shouldn’t it be 1805? O’Bannon died in 1850.

Of course, there was no Republican Party so he might have been a Democrat, and dead Democrats are capable of amazing things. ;)

Yes it is a typo - and should be 1805 as you point out.
