I don’t either, nor do I know what they are for, although I was told they are Army. But where is it that metals won are worn on a civilian suit lapel?

You missed my play on words with metals and medals.

No matter.

AFAIK, the DOD has rules and regs for all that stuff. While people no longer in the military are not permitted to wear their uniform except maybe for special occasions; a CMH recipient is afforded (by the military anyway) special privileges and considerations, can.

The wearing of MEDALS awarded during ones service on a civilian suit, is an old custom and not just in this country.
