It was in all the papers. If we had a BIG goddam green zone there, like we have in Korea, Japan and Germany, this horseshit wouldn’t be happening there. It was Obama that “went on an adventure” into Afghanistan, creating a void, ignoring the Arab Spring and giving up the best logistical location we could possibly have had. Many including myself, knew at the time that Bush had taken his eye off the ball when he shifted from going after the Taliban in Afghanistan to invading Iran for non-existent WMD’s and a made-up “Bush Doctrine” which had nothing to do with what our country is about.
Bush did the right thing going after our 9/11 attacks but he took his eye off the ball.
