Most often referred to as Upstate, South Carolina there are minor references to the area as the Upcountry.

They’re unintentionally merging Low Country with Upstate, at least they’re familiar enough to get close to the correct monikers, and not put Greenville in NC or Charlotte in SC like the national news media have been known to do.
So do I. And probably quite a bit more "Upstate" than you.
