Talk about people who are so superior that they never have any family “problems” and I’ll say you don’t have the full story and aren’t honest about your life, or you’ve lead a life without children or in-laws, or maybe even parents (what that make you I don’t know, haha). If you happen to have such perfect families who have never had an unwanted pregnancy, a son never in trouble with the law, a family member never arrested for dui or some such consider yourself blessed and give thanks, it’s not because of something you did or did not do.

Thanks. Ted burned his bridge with me. I honestly thought Ted was above the stuff he’s done. I actually believed he was a “principled” candidate - more so than Trump. I bought his book. I took him, and his supporters, at their word. But he’s proved to be very unprincipled. That’s the bed Ted is making and it’s his to sleep in. It’s actually stunned me. Ted’s a status quo politician. Same as the rest. I’ll still vote for him as the nominee but it will be just another “cream of the crap” vote.

Most would have thought it would have been Trump telling lies like the seven in a three minute Fox interview - and playing dirty politics during caucus in IA. But Trump’s turned out to be way more principled than the “only principled candidate in the race”. Very sad turn of events.

This is the battle as I see it; illogical morons with their lips permanently fastened to government tits outnumber those of us who are paying for it all. That is a fact. Trump represents the only hope for getting enough crossover and independent votes to overcome those tit sucking parasites. Cruz simply will not pull in enough votes to do it. Trump is the only chance we have. The popularity of Sanders, and by default socialism, coupled with the fact the number of parasites outnumber those who make up the host proves that beyond any doubt in my mind.

Have you seen this?

Conservative vs Liberal, a history of terms and discussion.

Trump’s views were not mostly liberal until 2011.

In 1988 he endorsed GHW Bush and was interviewed at the republican convention.

He appeared before a congressional committee, in the late 80’s, and gave a talk on what he thought was hurting the economy. They thought enough of his opinion that they invited him to address them. His talk was very conservative.

He also appeared on Oprah in the late 80’s and said many of the same things he is saying now about trade, taxes, and the economy.

In 2000 he wrote a book which he talked about his upbringing and how he worked for his father every weekend and summers by laying brick, painting houses, and cleaning garages while attending military school.

For the most part his views were conservative except that he was for single payer healthcare. You have to remember this was before Obama was even a thought let alone Obamacare.

In 2011 he said that Obamacare was a disaster and said he no longer supported single payer. Instead he said he supported competition between insurers by allowing people to buy private plans across state lines and that would provide that competition. He also supported serious tort reform including loser pay.

His statement during this campaign about the government paying for people who could not afford insurance is about providing a better more competitive way handle what we are already paying for.

He has also said he will build the wall and that all illegals would have to leave and come back in legally.

You and other Cruz supporters are the only ones that are calling it touch back amnesty. It is not. He has said that anyone coming in would have to come in legally and that no one would be allowed in to take jobs away from citizens.

He has said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that should cause anyone to think he supports the government taking over anything.

He is simply coming up with solutions for the problems as they exist today. Which, if truth be told, is exactly what all of the other candidates are trying to do.

The big difference is how each candidate defines what the problems are.

Trump is the only one that mentioned illegal immigration in his announcement speech.

Until you step up and do some research with an open mind, read his books, and read un-slanted articles about him you will never understand him or understand his appeal.

“Cruz simply will not pull in enough votes to do it. Trump is the only chance we have.”

While I agree with all that you said, the above was the bottom line for me.

I had supported Cruz for about 6 months. I even donated $1,200 to his campaign....that money came out of our vacation funds.

But, as time went on I started to get concerned about him. I kept waiting for him to get active, but he just crawled along. Then Trump started to catch fire. About 3 weeks ago I switched horses and I remain glad that I did.

I’ll look at your links later...thanks.

~~Go Trump Go~~

Get lost Sarah, you are yesterdays news. You are just a reality TV celeb now.

Remember when it was only leftist shills in the establishment media trash talking Sarah?

Seems like it was only a couple of months ago...

are nonjudgmental people? Yet they pulled the ad because of the so called soft porn actress. He should have kept the ad running and offered to pray with her.

I think the Trumpsters will remember how they were treated, too.

I don’t see these two groups ever coming together. And maybe that’s the gopE’s plan all along and we’re all being played for fools. It wouldn’t be the first time.

I’m hoping that Trump will consider Cruz for a running mate or for a position like Attorney General. Objectively I just can’t say that Cruz is the best man for the job. He’s a career politician and has few achievements outside of government positions. I think we need someone who doesn’t remotely think like a career politician and Trump is clearly that guy.

So, you don’t believe Christians should be witnesses to their faith?

I've got no problem with much of what she said, nor with the idea of witnessing, which is a good thing to do.

The quotes you have from her, the ones that I recalled, had the following issue: She was touting Ted's abilities to bring forth the face of God to our country more than witnessing.

I found that off putting to say the least. I'm sorry you can't understand that, because you should.

If he wins, I'll support him whole heartedly, but this doesn't make most of us jump out of our seats with approval.

[I don’t won’t an elected official thinking he can deliver to me or the nation anything regarding “that combination of the law and religion.”]

So you'd never vote for Thomas Jefferson then?

Those you posted on the wall are extracts from Jefferson’s writings. Here are the originals:

“Preach, my dear sir, a crusade against ignorance; establish & improve the law for educating the common people.” - Jefferson to George Wythe, August 13, 1786[8]

“It is an axiom in my mind that our liberty can never be safe but in the hands of the people themselves, and that too of the people with a certain degree of instruction. This it is the business of the state to effect, and on a general plan.” - Jefferson to George Washington, January 4, 1786[9]

Jefferson was talking about society being the operative instrument, not just one man (or president) as Cruz’s wife is saying.

>>Cruz’s wife is saying.

Or at least what you hear her saying.

What is the body of Christ Paul talks about in 1st Corinthians:

1 Cor 12:27

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
NIV

— and what is its face?
