Trump: 'I'm Capable of Changing To Anything I Want to Change To'
Townhall ^ | 2/12/16 | Guy Benson

Posted on 02/12/2016 9:45:34 AM PST by TBBT

Fox News anchor Bret Baier tweeted this quote from Donald Trump's recent interview with Greta Van Susteren, prodding me to snark that it'll be fascinating to watch Trump's cult of personality cheer on his inevitable mass amnesty proposal:

In fairness, if you watch the clip, it's seems like he's mostly referring to his conduct on the campaign trail. His "rapid change" comment comes in the context of being challenged on whether dropping F-bombs and amplifying an audience member's mockery of Ted Cruz as a "pussy" is presidential behavior. Don't worry about that, Trump says. I'll clean up my act "as I get closer and closer to the goal:"

I find the ‘porn actress’ thing to be a self evident positive. Since they don’t watch it, how would they know?

I have to admit that I laughed out loud when I heard about it.

So how do those two charges stand up to Judo-Christian values and patriotism? He seems to have positioned himself in front of either party, who are Multi-nationalists and serve only the political classes, rather than the masses.

Please enlighten us on that issue.

Enlighten yourself. It's not TBBT's job to start threads for your benefit. Start your own thread about a separate subject, and try to stay on topic for this thread.

“It doesn’t matter. You’ve lost. You lazy Cruzies didn’t work hard enough for your damaged goods candidate.”

Trump is gonna drop out for some crazy reason... his Depends don’t fit properly, Arnold’s not running his show right or whatever to let his girlfriend Hilary be President.

This is precisely the type of thread from Cruzbots when I call them “intellectually dishonest”. This thread fits them to a tee. We all know darn well what Trump meant.

LoL! Exacty what Judo-Christian values and patriotism are you selling in the name of Trump?

The man uses vulgarities on stage, insults on Twitter, brags about sleeping with married women in his book, is a draft dodger and sold out America to get his ego stroked by Putin.

If we’ve lost then conservatism has lost. Get that through your thick skull. We’ll fight to the bitter end, then we’ll go politically Galt and leave you with the mess you’ve created.

In the end, you’ll lose.

After supporting the RNC until age 60, I will take Trump. He is more honest that Cruz or Rubio or the socialists and communists he will run against. We get it, you hate Trump for whatever reasons. Step back and catch your breath...

And yet he is championing many of the things we have wanted to see at the White House for decades.

Why do you folks simply refuse to address the positive here?

You dropped that whole Judo-Christian values and patriotism thing. I get you. You are not concerned about core values. Being popular is it's own cheap reward. It would take talent and effort to sell conservative ideals so forget that.

I watched the interview. He was talking about how he’d act in the general campaign versus how he’d act in this primary campaign.

I didn't see the interview but my take is that when someone says "'I'm Capable of Changing To Anything I Want to Change To'. is that he is stating he is his own man and not beholden to someone else. That he controls his own destiny. It's a philosophy of a winning attitude.

Wow then it is now proven and thank you. Thank you for proving that you like others are truly no different than Obama and his minions during his election that will blindly follow with no detour to change their view. It is no different than I didn’t sit in that church, I never had those friends.

I’m not surprised you wouldn’t take the time to read and defend the very man who donated to the gang of 8. But hey he wants that wall

Hope and change 2016 baby!!!

I have become convinced after several months of observing the carryings-on of the typical FR Trump supporter that one must take complete leave of his/her rational, 1+1=2, logical thinking, deductive reasoning skills to support such an insincere and odious individual as Donald Trump. But that's only if you claim to be a conservative. If you're squishy or are just into winning without regard to what that "victory" would mean to the size, scope and power of government, then I could see where you could be into Trump.

Take note of who defends him and what their arguments are. It will be interesting to see if they try to claim the mantle of conservatism in future exchanges. Remember the ones who are unable (read: unwilling) to give a point-by-point refutation of an article or video*, etc. They'll likely give you that excuse that they don't trust (name source here), in which case you may accurately compare them to the little college campus cupcakes who need their safe zone to protect them from all those scary micro/macro aggressions.

If you spend a little time at YouTube and watch the videos of the Obamabots in 2008, you'll swear you're having a deja vu-ish experience here on FR in 2016 except that this time the messiah is different.

*Speaking of videos, be sure to watch the one provided by Charles Henrickson at post #46. Observe the dance Trump does to keep from being backed into a corner by an honest question that deserves an honest answer. Ask yourself, "Why is Trump dancing so hard to keep from answering that question?"

Laundered? So Cruz having a Superpac is somehow tied to granting political favor to a particular person or company? If so this would be considered illegal and I have yet to hear of Cruz granting political influence to any single person or group based on this. Your argument sounds like the angry liberals of today complaining that the rich make too much money and the poor need their fair share. If there was something Cruz did that was illegal then please let me know. Last I checked PAC money was ok. Did you support the restrictions on PAC donations legislation years ago that stifled 1st Amendment free speech? I’m trying to figure out the angle here because unless you are Trump campaigns are not self financed.
