the need to stop Russia in Syria in order to prevent further influxes of refugees to Turkey and Europe from the region ................................ Turkey talk for, they are disrupting our supply lines to ISIS?

Believe me, the influx of “refugees” to Europe was NOT propelled by the Syrian civil war. Or, at least, it was not at first. Those refugees running away from ISIS had plenty of room to run to elsewhere in the Middle East, and at what must be at much less risk to self and families. The civilian refugees were, in fact herded aboard these flimsy little boats, along with a contingent of sometimes already battle-hardened ISIS fighters. Launching out across the Mediterranean, and the “pruning” of Christian and Yazidi refugees, by the simple expedient of casting them overboard, in favor of the fifth column that was being exported to Europe, was a major troop movement.

Mission accomplished. Invasion force established, reinforcements arriving daily.
